There is a way to invoke open cloud endpoints through an engine API, but I don’t know if it includes this or not. OpenCloudService:InvokeAsync() has the capability of invoking endpoints but lacks any meaningful documentation. As far as I can tell the only way to find out how to use whatever endpoints it supports is by word of mouth right now. I’m not sure why it’s like that. Maybe it isn’t considered fully ready yet? However it is enabled and I believe it has been enabled for a good while.
Does the new Roles system only let you do changes on the creator hub? Because I granted myself an everything role but I can’t seem to change the icon unless I’m on creator hub.
As per the announcement, Groups will still exist within Creator Hub:
In addition, while Communities will be focused on engaging with your users, we have been building out a robust system for you to collaborate with fellow creators on what you’re building. This product continues to be called Groups, and will exist exclusively within Creator Hub. Work has been ongoing, including a new roles and permissions system, as well as revenue management features. Stay tuned for more updates!
I’m not familiar with this service specifically, but in general, if there isn’t documentation for it then it’s not considered released, and might change without notice, or removed completely, etc. We don’t recommend using it in production experiences even if technically you are able to use it. The exception to this is if you are told to use it specifically by Roblox Staff, for example as part of BETA testing.
sounds less friendly and more corporate since this is reminiscing me of roblox impressing investors instead of making good changes to this metaverse platform, can you just rename it to groups instead of communities? roblox isn’t made of that they call groups “communities”, and when we generally refer to communities its about the people about the game, in the game, and game itself in general.
also for me none of the features here solve problems. the features are the problems
