Introducing Talent Hub Open Beta - New Platform to Find & Post Work!

I completely agree with what you are saying here ! In the first place, Roblox never said that this PIN was for parental control until now ! Also, not being verified with an ID makes it way more difficult just to be found on the talent hub, people will always get a notification saying to be super careful with this person every time you interact. I think that it is exaggerated and we shouldn’t be verified with an ID just to show up in the “find creators” tab. I agree that we need a layer of protection to know with who you’re dealing with, and I would be totally fine on verifying my phone, email and authenticator, but this is too much I think. This just my opinion, you may disagree.

Yes, I agree to this as well. It does harm developers in a couple of ways. I believe the ID verification should be used for the Roblox gaming platform, but not the Talent Hub itself. It just doesn’t seem to fit in properly to me. Currently, if you use the Talent Hub without age verification via your ID, fewer developers notice your job posts and it can really harm some of the best or starting developers out there.

I’m so confused, what’s happened to DevForum Portfolios? Has it moved onto this new website?

It’s actually called a ‘Parent Pin’ in account settings, however I agree, this restriction should be removed.

The Collaboration Category (the place you post your portfolio and collaboration topics) will be archived sometime next year. Currently, existing posts inside that category can be edited, but you cannot create new topics for that category.

You now have to use the Talent Hub to create a portfolio or job listing.

They actually changed that just a few weeks after the talent hub released.

Roblox really needs to get themselves together. The Talent Hub was thrown at Developers last minute and it is constantly removing Developers from listings. I have been removed from the Talent Hub a number of times with no explanation and usually Roblox Support stating that they are working on things.

So, I guess we be patient and when Roblox feels up for resolving these issues, we’ll get a random post on the forums. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

So, I can’t seem to find a clear answer. Am I allowed to put my Discord tag in my portfolio for contact? I can’t seem to find anywhere else for contacting for commissions except for the Talent Hub’s inbox, the devforum, or direct Roblox messages.

From what I understood, the talent hub is a platform to find work/creators, but after that, you should move to another platform to talk, but I wouldn’t recommend putting directly your discord on your profile. But still, I think this question would be best answered by @peraldon himself.

You know, after trying to make a portfolio in talent hub I’ve realized how hard it is to actually make one especially with the 500 character limit which doesn’t even work, not to mention the fact that I CAN NOT even describe myself, my prices or anything without exceeding the character limit.
Please make talent hub better Roblox

Edit: turns out that talent hub doesn’t support imgur either? any picture I try to link just doesn’t work. Do better

Discord is actually listed in the consent page as a domain that can be linked to, however I was just moderated likely because I had Discord in my Bio.

Edit: You can’t add your username directly to your bio, but you can after someone contacts you via the talent hub.

I meant “they” as in @PhantomBreak995.

Could we have a way to pay developers through talent hub?

That would be interesting to see, since roblox lacks solutions to pay devs appart from transferring group funds…

I never thought of that. I would love this feature to be added. Great suggestion

My personal recommendation is to completely remove experience listings- instead, in its place, allow users to create a thread about themselves (whether this be to have their portfolio, etc) extremely similarly to current devforum portfolio listings. E.g:

(essentially allowing users to copy paste their devforum portfolio onto their talent hub thread)

This would allow and not restrict creativity, personalisation, and the ability for people to express themselves the way that the current devforum portfolios section does.

I am having the same problem: I was writing an optional message to the, if not even dream job, then I missclicked and sent it. Me, stupidly enough with my low knowledge about English vocabulary, clicked on withdraw, thinking it would allow me to edit it: Nope, now I have to search another thing. I find this really stupid the fact that you can‘t edit in case of missclick

I think that there should be an option to leave a review on someones Talent Hub page.

A lot of things still need to be added to the Talent Hub, and there are lot of problems that need to be resolved. I really think #collaboration should be reopened until the Talent Hub is completely ready to use. It is very hard to upload images, gifs, etc.

Also, I find it annoying that you are being forced to verify your age on the Talent Hub. Literally, if you do not verify your age on the Talent Hub, your efforts, your skills, everything goes unnoticed.

I think that they made bio for that, even though its lacking a lot of things, such as proper image support, a higher character limit and more…
