I think that roblox is just trying to make the process of posting and finding work easier, and when the first leaks arrived, I was really excited about this, because even though the collaboration category is not bad, it lacks a few features… But unfortunately the release of the talent hub was rushed and it isn’t ready yet, and I believe that the #collaboration should be re-opened once again for a few months to let the time to the talent hub devs to fix the major issues.
How did you manage to get it fixed? I still cannot use that part of the site.
It happened naturally. Sometimes Roblox is a bit slower than usual. If you’ve been having the issue on the weekend, wait until the weekdays since Roblox tends to respond slower on the weekends.
Also, it could be because you are unverified, and the user who you want to invite has the verified only setting on.
I’ve been having this issue for more than a month at this point…
Believe not, I am 14 and i can access it perfectly fine, edit my profile, etc.
I personally find that i check the talent hub wayy less than i do the devforums. I just kinda find out, out of the way to check it. That may be what others are experiencing.
@peraldon Hello, I believe I speak for the rest of the community as I come here seeking an update.
Do we have any details on the talent hub going forward? Any news on the archive/deletion of the collaboration category?
What has changed in the talent hub that has enhanced our ability to visually display work?
Hello @puppyryan!
I’m thelastavatar983 and I recently joined the team working on Talent Hub. Let me just start by thanking you for your post! I am so glad to see Creators that care enough about Talent Hub to work with us on improving it further. I know it has been a while since we have updated the community, but we have a lot of exciting updates that have been in the works that are coming soon (almost all of which have been driven by community feedback!).
-
Embedded Images: Super glad that you brought up being able to visually display work as this is the number one thing we are working on: being able to easily upload images to your Creator Page. Keep an eye out for an announcement on this!
-
Improving text filters: We are also really close to relaxing the text filters within Application chat a little bit further, so that Creators can mention off-platform domains and services that are on Talent Hub’s allow list.
-
Improved Search: We are also continuing to work on improving the relevance of search results, so the right applicants find their way to the right job posting.
In terms of the collaboration category, we’ll have more information on when we plan to archive the portfolios after the release of uploading embedded images to the Creator Profile.
Thanks for your patience. We are always working behind the scenes to empower meaningful connections between developers! We also have more exciting updates that I hope to be able to share soon.
Thank you. This has been somthing we’ve all been kind of waiting for, glad to see your team is onto it!
Mine apparently has been in moderation, and I’ve been shadowbanned from search? Please fix it if I can’t post my portfolio here anymore!!
I don’t think so, I just looked now and I’m pending too. Maybe they’re just waiting a while and then they’ll accept you in? Maybe it’s like the DevForum where you need to wait.
I’ve been on Talent Hub since it launched, I don’t believe it’s taking them 1/2 a year to verify me
Whoops, sorry I thought I replied to the wrong person so I deleted it, what I said was did you scroll down to the bottom and turned on “Page Visibility”?
Yup! It’s on, but the moderation thing is keeping me from being discovered in searches apparently.
Odd, have you edited everything on your Talent Hub Profile?
I recently did, maybe that’s what’s wrong! Thank you!
Maybe! And you’re welcome. If it still doesn’t let you you’ll just have to wait for the admins.
I’m very excited to see the Talent Hub, but the account PIN rule really bugs me, even though.
I know that account pin is intended for younger users to make sure they don’t change anything without parental consent, but many developers use account pin, to ensure that if someone cookie logs them somehow, they can’t change passwords or 2FA emails unless they guess the code. it is necessary for all developers to have this extra layer of security. A better way to keep their account safe and a way to keep children’s safe without affecting older developers is letting everyone over 13, regardless if they have account pin or not, view any job and creator page on the Talent Hub. Or just make it an account setting that can be toggled in Roblox settings.
Thanks for reading.
Yeah it’s really stupid, when they first introduced the pin feature, they only mentioned it as a security feature and not a parental control one… The only way to access talent hub freely with a PIN right now is too verify your ID, which is inconvenient…
It’s lucky. very useful to developers looking to do work nice addition for the community.
