Can we upload videos in roblox library?

Honestly I’m amazed I can’t wait till we can upload our own videos, but what scares me is I hope ROBLOX plans to put extra caution on others who upload videos.

guys, they didn’t “forget” about this feature; at RDC 2021 they said they were working to release in-game video in 2022

That’s true and all but, Even if they release it I bet half of the community won’t be able to upload videos due to it probably costing a lot of robux. Since audios already cost a lot. Then again ROBLOX is making audios free…
I’m sure a lot of people would upload regardless, considering it would be insanely good for making cutscenes and would make it 10 times easier with next to no coding

Lets face it Roxy isn’t coming back, her last post on the forums was in July of last year. This is simply an overhyped dead feature 
Its simply a matter of time before staff stops allowing this topic from being bumped and they close it forever.
Well that’s very sad, This is a very useful feature. If they don’t plan to make this feature finally fully available to the public (As in allow to upload), might aswell find a way to make videos possible for everyone.

With audios now being free and private, this now becomes an interesting asset.
If custom video uploads are eventually added, they will more than likely become private too and require an upload fee.
I could see this fee varying dependant on file size though, making video compression the norm before uploading assets. (Videos over 7 minutes??)
The biggest concern Roblox probably has with this right now is copyright and moderation concerns.
Hopefully this will see the light of day eventually but I doubt it will be anytime soon.

I doubt this will ever come out, and if it does it will be really far in the future. This is just yet another Roblox update they’ve revealed to us and then went radio silent for years.

Why do these updates always get left in the dark? I have a perfect use for this as an instructional video in one of my group games.

For real. This is getting old. We all had many uses for this. We planned and saved for this. Then you just stopped. This is 300 replies long, you can’t just abandon this and work on other things.
This is a perfect example of what Roblox does, and shouldn’t do to begin with. they announce something, and then they send us back to the dark.
The clouds feature they announced like couple years ago didn’t receive any follow up either. Roblox should be more transparent with what they’re doing.
to everyone who keeps asking, they did give an update. it should be coming sometime later this year if everything goes accordingly.
That’s great to hear but it would be cool if they replied to some of our comments regarding the feature. At the moment we feel like we have just been left in the dark. How do we know our opinions on the feature have been looked at if we haven’t had any communication from them. But thanks for that news.
