Introducing Workers!

We’ve been listening. We’ve heard from you. Now it’s time for a MASSIVE rebranding.

As you can see, we now have a brand new logo, tons of new GFX, and so many revolutionary changes happening to Bakiez.

The goal of Version 3 was to transform Bakiez from a generic cafe-style group to more of a game. That has always been my vision. In a sense, it did that, however, I got it all wrong. For a previously group-based game to become solely a game without a strong emphasis on the group, it needs to be easily accessible and user-friendly to the players, rather than the group members.

With that being said, I am excited to announce some upcoming changes to Version 3 that will completely change the experience of Bakiez, Bakiezville, and the community.

Ranks and Baker Points
The first change I wish to announce is the ranks. We’re well aware of the immense confusion revolving around the V3 ranks and corporate felt it necessary to do something about it to ensure smooth and easy gameplay by everyone. With that being said, I’m proud to introduce Workers! All ranks will be merged to their corresponding “Worker” rank and we will be getting rid of 3 individual job ranks such as Cashier, Chef, Barista. With that, all Trainees+ will be able to work as any of the 4 in-game roles they please, and can switch between them at any time! This will prevent repetition and boredom among staff members and give them a chance to be whatever they want! Furthermore, we have also reduced point requirements for all the ranks! Ranking up at Bakiez has never been easier! The new ranks are their requirements below:

Trainee [Job center]
Worker [250 BP]
Junior Worker [500 BP]
Master Worker [2,000 BP]
Professional Worker [5,000 BP]
Star Helper [10,000 BP]

Training System
Unfortunately, due to this change, Trainings will no longer be mandatory for staff however, there will be in-game tutorials as well as youtube tutorials explaining how to work all 4 jobs and how to rank up. With that, in-game recipes will be added so that staff knows exactly how to create all the tasty pastries and delicious drink items we offer! Lastly, Trainings will switch to an informal/unscheduled system and will be more of a tutorial rather than training. Instructors will be able to teach staff how to do their job at the bakery rather than a pass/fail system. These types of tutorial sessions will be hosted at the Bakery for Trainees and other staff who might need help.

Rules and Regulations
Lastly, in terms of rules, restrictions, and regulations, we are being more lenient! In the new year, all activity requirements will be removed for all staff including management and corporate. Also, grammar requirements for staff have been dropped as long as professionalism is maintained. However, despite this more lenient approach, individuals who fail to contribute to the group and/or give a bad rep/name to the group will still be reprimanded. All staff is still encouraged to give Bakiez their all whilst still maintaining a viable social life in the real world. This is supposed to be a game rather than a chore.

Conclusion
All in all, we hope you guys enjoy these changes. Bakiez is and will always be a fun and easy game for anyone to play and work their way up. This was never supposed to be a chore instead, a getaway from the reality of life. I strongly believe that these are some of the vital changes that will bring Bakiez back to the thriving community and game it used to be. As always, we will continue to set the precedent for all other communities to follow, which you already see with other games trying to copy exactly what we’ve done with our V3 and what we will do with our V3, and what we’re about to do right now.

With these new changes and the many changes coming in the new year, we hope to transform Bakiez into a community for everyone. Ease and simplicity is the goal. We have always been about community and we have always been about the user experience. As these new changes unfold, we’ll keep you informed.
