Hello! I’m ebur1n and I’m glad to be a new forum member.
I originally found Roblox through a friend. We quickly found a liking to obbys, which led to multiple obby completion badges.
I got started in development originally with GFX. I myself really like making art and so I started with simple studio models and then rendering through blender.
My current goal is to cash out with DevEx as well as become an actual forum member. I would also like to communicate with more developers and become friends!
I am currently a builder, but I would like to learn more programming and eventually branch out to all aspects of game development.
I’m a master procrastinator, nap enthusiast, certified gamer grill, and a tea drinker. :))
Hello, I’m Lua. I’ve been here for awhile on the forum but never really pursued being a member as it just served as a learning resource.
I found Roblox when I was young and I kept seeing a tiny box advertisement on this website. Now, I’m not one to click Ads but it popped up so many times and interested me I eventually clicked it.
I always saw these crazy cool games I wanted to try for myself, so I experimented in studio and didn’t understand anything and it just sorta worked.
Currently trying to grow as a developer and expand into more games and create a lot of fun memorable moments for people.
I mainly program and build, but I’ve learned how to do a bit of everything.
I’ve been on Roblox since 2007, and besides introducing my brother, @Dued1, to Roblox, I’ve made practically no contributions to the Roblox community in the past 11 years. But I kept coming back to find and play games that felt like they could only exist on Roblox.
Since then, I’ve created a puzzle-platformer on Steam called Blink. Now I’m working on Xbox developer tools at Microsoft, but in my spare time I’m creating a relatively simple round-based Roblox game I’ve had rolling around in my head for a while.
Roblox has come so far since I first joined, and I’m excited to see where all you developers will take it next!
Oh welp I totally blew other this when I joined lol.
Yo, I’m AxoLib. Huge thanks for letting me into the dev fourm!
Quick lil overview of myself:
I’ve always been extremely interested in game scripting and programming in general. After I stumbled across Roblox, I jumped immediately into game development. I really suck at building but I like to think of myself as a pretty intermediate scripter. Slightly off topic but I’m pretty good at video editing and photoshop!
I hope to add to this amazing community of developers!
I’m DonaldChambers, most people call me Donald, or Jodo! I first joined Roblox back in 2008, can’t say that I remember much from back then. If I could describe my experiences on Roblox I’d say wow what a ride it has been! Roblox is the platform that got me interested in programming, it lead to me taking classes throughout high school and college, all of which eventually lead me to where I am today. I have a fairly successful career in a field closely related to some of the basic skills I learnt while working on Roblox projects!
I enjoy challenges, puzzles and logical thinking. I spend a lot of my time on Roblox troubleshooting scripts of other developers and helping them find solutions to various errors. Everyday I find myself learning or looking into new functions and services on the Roblox API references website.
My current goal is to continue to improve my abilities and contribute in solving challenges with other developers. I have been working on a few projects for some time now and am looking forward to sharing how they progress with everyone.
If you haven’t figured it out, I’m primarily a programmer! I have done some fairly decent builds in the past however, building is not my most preferred way to spend time on Roblox! Most of my time is dedicated towards developing my own path finding scripts, Real Time Strategy Games, and custom web platforms to help use the most out of Roblox’s HttpService!
Looking forward to the future and all the great works to come!
Howdy, I’m Galaxy! I’m a scripter, UI designer, builder, graphics artist, animator, clothing designer, and animator! Happy to make your acquaintance on the developer forums, and I do plan to be posting my otherworldly creations here!~
Hello, I’m fairly new to the Dev Forum. I was introduced to roblox back in '06 by a friend but didn’t really latch on until 2010(that’s when I officially joined). I started off building and slowly became good at it. I’ve also been learning scripting. My goals are to become a better programmer as well as learn GFX. I hope to learn a lot from everyone here as well as be able to share a little knowledge of my own.
My name’s Daniel, formerly known as Happ_yy/danielaity on Roblox.
I’ve been on Roblox since 2012, my friend MikkelDude told me about it so I went and signed up onto the site and ever since a few years ago it’s been a dream on getting into RBXDev ( that was the name of the Devforums before ). I started mostly gaining recognition by being part of the Roblox forums: All Things Roblox & Roblox Talk and on the Roblox Twitter Community since 2013.
I script on Roblox and know JavaScript & Python. I’ve always wanted to become a programmer - I don’t call myself the best at it though. If you wanna achieve to do anything, you can do it!
Hello there! As a new addition to the developer forums, and one who’s been waiting for a long time, I would be glad to share a brief introduction.
I go by Cubetonium. I have been on Roblox since 2012 and have started developing since the beginning of this year, 2019. I started development mostly because I felt inspired to do so, seeing so many good games being made left and right. I hope to eventually work up to that level, and have even begun work on a small project of my own to start. In the developer community, I’m a bit of a jack of trades, as I do scripting, building, GFX, and even a little bit of music.
I’m looking forward to be a part of this community and hope to be a great addition to the forum! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be part of the Developers forum!
Hello, I’m a former builder who goes by Orange. I’m super new to the Devforum and honored to actually be here, it was very surprising to me when i first got that system message!
I didn’t even know how to apply or even planned to honestly since i’m…retired and all. I first started building by toying around with TurboFusion back in 2016. But as my building skill grew, i did a few jobs in the developer community as time went on.
I worked for famous developers like BobbySayHi and AdministratorGnar.
( I didn’t build for Gnar but i did take on a moderating job for him. Worked with him for…a year and a half i suppose. )
I’ve made some great robux as a result, but building grew old and tiring after a year. And after one of the former developer groups i worked at died completely, i stopped entirely and just focused on moderating games at Gameloaded.
But in 2018, i retired from that as well since i wasn’t into it anymore…plus inactivity reasons. The group kept growing including the games and the community there so…it was exhausting. Gameloaded is super huge now honestly.
Nowadays i just play certain games on Roblox and browse the DevForum to look at updates. Most likely gonna move on from the platform entirely since it’s a little bland, excluding a few great games on there. The removal of events doesnt help anything either.
Welp, that’s basically it tbh. Glad to be here, wont be posting on Devforum much however since every post has to be super helpful in some way. And since i haven’t used studio in a year…i’ll probably be useless to 95% of the users here. : p
Hello everybody, I entered in the forum last year, but didn’t use it that often (maybe I don’t use it often yet…anyways).
My name is TheB1ueF0x, I will probably change my name soon, I am a new-advanced builder, I am more a builder than a scripter. Native Spanish-speaker and professional English speaker.
Howdy! I’m Sam “ChefJustice” Hayashi. I started out on Roblox back in 2009 and have been a fairly active member of the community ever since. During my first couple of years, I played a lot of old RPG games (think: Tales of Range Cape, etc.) and through them found an underlying passion for medieval/fantasy style games.
For the past few months, I’ve been channeling that passion into my own game, called War Path: Online. I’m the main programmer and 3D modeler for the game, and I have some friends who are making story, sound, and asset contributions. It’s a work in progress, and I still have a lot of engine work to do before I can even start creating content for it, but my dream is to see it on the front page one day.
Hello there, thank you for giving me the opportunity to join this community and the ability to improve my skills on this forum.
How did you find Roblox?
I discovered it in 2012 through my cousin while I was visiting him, which eventually led me to making my own account.
How did you get started on the Roblox platform?
At first, I simply played the games I found, and hanged out with other player. After a few years I would discover the many opportunities that Roblox provides, and started working on learning a few skills myself.
Current goals/achievements
I’m currently working towards practicing and improving my skills in graphic design and building. My main goal right now is to be able to provide work for projects on the platform and possibly make some projects myself.
What is your role in the community?
I’m currently working on being a builder and a graphic designer.
Greetings. My name is r_aidmaster.
I consider myself an adept at LUA, and because I happened to be sick and very much bored at the moment where I got New Member, I decided to give it a “why not” to making one of these introduction comments.
I started playing ROBLOX back in 2011, I think someone in my second grade class introduced me to the website. I started playing it at a level that would likely be considered addictive.
I got started on the ROBLOX platform when I learned of this thing called “warclanning,” (insert a massive cough here.) I started off by pasting in free models into my games in my stupid attempts to start a group - those were truly the days. I eventually slowly began to pick up on some Lua, and after deciding to make my own weapon system, I feel that I gained a decent understanding, and I continued to learn more by helping groups that didn’t have any programmers. This allowed me to expand my understanding of Lua, due to the variety of stuff I did.
I enjoy programming - I am learning Python and Lua at the same time. I am currently working on a game which is very much in-dev. I hope to get this released in maybe 6 months.
As I heard a few times, “I type the magical text in that does magic stuff.”
I am a penguin-lover. Linux is becoming more viable than ever, @ Roblox. (EDIT: didn’t realize that that would actually mention ROBLOX staff. Oopsie.)
I found roblox by getting referred it by a friend, I thought it was just a “kids game” but once I got more in depth into the community I saw the whole development aspect thats overlooked on.
I was just messing around in studio, hoping to create something cool I started out with a lot of free models, but developed into my own things.
I would like to contribute my works to a front page game, and be able to dev ex.
Hi, I am sbob12345m but most people call me “sbob” for short. I joined Roblox when my best friend introduced me to the platform. I loved playing games but I was curious about how these games were created. Ever since I have been thrilled about creating games on Roblox. When I first joined the platform I remember playing games for hours. Sometimes I will play random games just to get an idea to implement into my games.
My best quotes for achieving success when developing games:
“You press the same upload button I do” - Widgeon
“If you never ask, the answer is always no” - Unkown
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” - Albert Einstein
I use the first quote for motivation to build games. I use the second quote to always try. If you never try then you never know if you succeed or fail. Lastly, I use quote three to always change something if the script isn’t working. Just because you press the “play solo” button, that doesn’t mean you’ll get a different result.
My current project is a game called Last Survivor. It’s a battle royale theme PvP. The game is still in development. If your reading this two months from this post, the game is probably released. https://www.roblox.com/games/2896296938/BETA-Last-Survivor
Hey, it’s Phantomazing. I joined Roblox back in 2010 when a couple of friends told me about it.
I got my start in the Roblox community by retexturing and interacting with the Roblox community on the forums and Twitter.
I am a member of the Retexture Artists Official Channel, and had 6 of my own retextures published to the catalog. I also served as the Herald of former administrator tarabyte’s Retexturing Apprentices group.
I took a hiatus to focus on schoolwork and play other games for some years, but I am back now looking for any graphic design work that needs to be done.
I’m currently a multimedia student in college, and my proudest achievement is having designed a logo for a mini-satellite that got sent to the ISS.
Hey, I’m Desired. As with many other people, I’ve taken a while to get membership.
I found ROBLOX by a friend telling myself about it back in 2013. Loved the game ever since. I started development on the platform 2014 - 2015, although most of my projects were freemodels unfortunately. Come it late 2015 or 2016, I started building. I’d continue this for the next year until I started uncovering better building techniques to improve my skills. In 2017 I started working for some development groups, mainly small ones. During late 2017 or early 2018, I got into ROBLOX Lua, being the first programming language I’ve known. I’ve mainly self-taught myself in a way, not using any external help from friends and only just browsing the internet on how they have done something and searching how certain code operates so I could possible use it later on in my programming career on ROBLOX. Now, in 2019, I’ve gotten much better at building and scripting, though I am more of a programmer than a builder.
My current goals on this platform is to improve my current programming knowledge in order to create things I’ve set in my mind for development. If I can do this, I’ll be able to create some cool things, either personal use or for people to use.
My role in the developer community, as stated above, is programming. Although I do build, I now commonly program rather than build.
Thanks for giving in your time to read this reply if you are reading this!
Hello I’m glad to finally be a member of the forum.
I found Roblox through a real life friend and I was just a player who enjoys being able to play multiple games with people online. I always wanted to script in Lua because I liked the idea of programming in general and also wanted to make games not just on Roblox but Roblox gave me a chance to start.
What I hope to achieve is not a solo achievement since I want to achieve it along with my team (studio) to have created so many games that are actually fun for people to play and create the games that I wish existed and many other people would wish that they would exist too.
My role is a Programmer I do some other things like UI Designing and Animating but my main Role is a Programmer.
I’m really glad Roblox exists because it is the reason things are turning out the way I want them for me.
