I found Roblox through some YouTubers I’ve previously watched. I found the platform interesting, and quickly got attached to Roblox games.
I’ve started development through one of my friends, he helped me script, and we started making games together. (these games aren’t open to the public)
My current goal is making a game which will surpass what I’ve previously done; in other words, do better than what I’ve done already, surprise myself with what I’ve done.
My current role/favoured development type is UI Design(er) and Script(ing/er)
I’m ChemicalHex (or more popularly known as Chemicalex on Twitter and Discord).
I started Roblox way back in 2012 as player under a different name when I was 10. I had a little bit of experience with programming in general, and I acquired a lot of inspiration from several developers that are still well-known and relevant today (such as Wsly and Polyhex). At that point, I decided it’s be great to give it a shot and I’ve been going for several years strong on the platform since 2015.
I want to make a game that people will really enjoy. I have no profit motive or territorial feelings over my assets as long as people have fun because of something I made. As of this point, I’m working on a campaign-based adventure platformer with huge aspirations and lots of passion behind.
My specialization is programming. That said, I’ve developed skill in every other area of development; building, gui design, sound design, general game design, you name it.
Mostly from me you’ll see progress on various cartoonish projects of mine as well as some neat little tech demos I come up with from time to time. Cheers!
I found ROBLOX back in 2010 due to my older brother showing me the site. We enjoyed the platform so much back then. I remember how me and my older brother used to play as guest accounts, because we knew our parents wouldn’t let us make real account (they thought ROBLOX was sketchy for some reason). I eventually made an account with my brother in 2011.
Ever since then, I have been a constant player of the platform. But of course, one-year later, in 2012, I found myself wandering in studio using free models to create fun places for myself. This is what started my journey in Roblox development. For my 9+ years on Roblox I have just picked up some “skill” in building.
My current goal on the platform is to learn all other parts of development. Such as, animating, scripting, modeling, and SFX. Eventually, I will want to create a game for myself, but I want to be sure that I have all the skills down to do so.
If not already clear, I am a builder in the developer community.
Hi there! I’m a new member of the Developer Forum. Very happy to be a part of the community.
I started playing Roblox in early 2009, for no other reason than that I was a kid who was enthralled by the massive amount of games that the website has to offer. Over the years, I made only a small handful of timid attempts to create a game. I was highly intimidated by Studio, and just stuck to what I knew – using the build tools and importing free models. Unsurprisingly, nothing that interesting ever came out of my projects. So, no, my time on Roblox has not been spent developing games. Instead, I was really into foruming back when the public forum was around, and eventually I got into swordfighting, which is what I have spent most of my time on here doing.
Very recently, though – maybe a month or so ago – I suddenly decided that I want to try my hand at learning coding and making a proper game. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing just that, and I’m quite happy with my progress so far. My main goal for now is just to keep working on my game. It’s a game that I’m very happy to work on, and I’m really making it for me more than anything – I don’t care too much if other people end up playing it or not. If the game turns out well, though, and I realize that game development is something I definitely want to stick to, I’ll very likely be making bigger plans.
For now, I would consider myself a programmer more than anything, but I’m also making my own maps and designs for my game. I like to be capable of doing as much as possible on my own.
Once again, I’m very excited to be a part of this community, and hope that I’ll make a worthwhile contribution to it!
When I was like 11 in 2012, I went to my friend’s house and I got to play Roblox for the first time. When I came back home I quickly installed it on my old computer and never left the platform since. After I began playing Personnal Build Servers with my friends and that really made me jump into making games. Then slowly I began to have an interest in scripting and making games on Roblox Studio. I just which to have the time to keep making stuff and having alot of fun.
This is awesome! Just got accepted into this fourm! I was browsing the fourm and then, I refreshed and then saw a income message and it was system! I freaked out.
I’m mostly a terrain maker/ui-maker and have a bit of experience as scripting
I’m currently working on 2 projects, a adventure game that a evil witch haunts you if you don’t get her the quests, and the other one is a game that you blow up stuff! Looking forward to become a Leader of the devfourm! Hopefully in the future! Then when i’m older I will apply for a job at roblox as a developer relations then bam! I can officially help roblox with there creations!
I’m tahtsFunny. I found Roblox originally in 2013, when I saw my friend playing as a guest. I began with free models, and I wanted to tweak them. After that, I just started making my own models and it started. Currently, I want to just make games the community can enjoy, and further improve myself as a Roblox developer. I am mostly a builder, but I can do a bit of scripting here and there.
Thanks for reading, tahtsFunny
P.S. I’d like to thank the new system for the promotion to New Member!!!
Hello! I’m FractalGeometry. I’ve been an on/off developer on ROBLOX since 2009, mostly for clans. I originally found ROBLOX from an ad, and I got my start developing from just reading the wiki. I’m currently a developer for the United Clan of ROBLOX as a programmer. I’m also currently in college studying Computer Science and Math as a third year. I look forward to being able to participate on this forum!
Hi, just an introduction of myself to the Dev Forum.
I was playing Minecraft at the time of 2018, later on around April of 2018 I decided to try Roblox, I saw people play it on Youtube and what not and I always felt like Roblox was a meme to them or something along that nature. So I gave Roblox a try, I began playing the game Counter Blox Roblox Offensive and ever since then I enjoy what Roblox offers to me.
My current goals for the platform is to help as much people as I can with scripting. I remember I was so bad, I didn’t even know what Anchoring a part meant. I had no clue, I didn’t even understand how to use script.Parent, that’s how bad I was. So I want to help the people that are struggling really bad because I was in that same position.
I specialize in Programming / Scripting. I have been scripting for 10 months and I want to improve as I go on. Roblox is really complex with what it offers you. You have lots of creativity you can think of and if you’re experienced in scripting or building you can put that creativity into some work.
That’s my introduction it’s an honor to be a new member of the Dev Forum.
I found Roblox in January 2013 through ads. I started playing my favorite game, Black Hawk Down III, and Zepellin Battles. I spent hours playing these. On my birthday, February 10th, I bought lifetime BC. I started as a builder and thought scripting was unfathomable.
My current achievments are working for a 10k and 8k member group.
Im a scripter that knows pretty much every trick in the book and I have only been scripting for a year. I still have yet to master physics and reigon 3s, but im excited for the journey.
I would like to say, in a game I scripted (though I was scammed) AlvinBlox complimented the scripting even though it was slightly incomplete and basic.
Hey there! I’m S1mpleL0gic. I found Roblox back in 2015-2016 when my friends showed me it. I was intrigued and downloaded the game as soon as I got back home. I was hooked instantly and still play roblox to this date.
I started development on Roblox about 1-2 years ago. I always had a knack for computers so I decided to pursue scripting and after a couple of months of looking at free models and seeing how they worked I finally got the hang of it.
My current goals on Roblox is to finish and release a game. I also wish to finish “Simple Engine” and update it frequently to help scripters who are having trouble making datastores, pathfinding and more!
I would like to say i’m a scripter though I can do a bit of everything though it may not be the best.
I hope to help new developers in the community and enhance my skills in the developer community!
I found Roblox when my brother started to play it with his friend, the first game we played was Neighborhood.
I first started with developing when I saw games and wondered how they made it. So, I went to search up youtube videos and look at Roblox wiki. It was hard at first because I had no idea how to disable constraints.
I current goal right now is to become a really advanced developer.
My role in deving is mostly building and modeling. (I do not free model)
I like to thank Roblox for teaching me so many things that can help me in life.
Hi! I am skilpus3000 and I have been playing ROBLOX since early 2010. It wasn’t before 2 years ago I started experimenting in ROBLOX Studio, mainly with Scripts and objects. After I graduated High School I had learned a lot of programming from attending the “Information Technology 2” subject. After that I have been pretty active on ROBLOX, and my current goal and vision is to create original and outstanding games giving players great experiences from playing ROBLOX!
I am mainly a Programmer, but in order to make games all by myself, I also need some UI, GFX, Building and Animation skills.
Hey! I’m Nathans1998, and I found Roblox at a pretty young age from classmates.
I’ve known of the game since around 2009 but made this account in 2011.
I’m not a particularly great developer, but I’m starting to learn scripting.
I have no notable goals or achievements, honestly.
I can make GFX, can model, make clothing, script (somewhat, new to lua but not to programming), make UI and am pretty experienced with blender.
Name something and I can probably do it, but not super well.
Call me the jack of all trades, master of none I suppose.
Thanks a bunch for accepting me onto the forum, I’m here for assistance in scripting.
Hey everyone!
I am 123oro321, and i am a new member in the forum.
I have been playing ROBLOX since 2013. I started self learning programming on ROBLOX since 2014.
I confidently say ROBLOX has “ignited” my passion for programming, since at this time i have learnt at least (i am not good at counting) 3 additional languages.
I have a passion to turn what i imagine to reality.
I am mainly a programmer.
I want to thanks ROBLOX for (as they call it) “Powering imagination”, giving me the tools and platform to create almost anything i can think of!
Hello! My name Is PrincessUSA_Dev! I enjoy creating games and using the forums to help me with my creations. I own Hiton Hotel. I would not have had my hotel if it was not for @wayIxn. I Hope to expand my interest more as I can now ask for help and get more ideas with being a new member!
Hi there! My name is Rallient, and I’ve been playing ROBLOX for almost 9 years now! My mom told me about ROBLOX whenever I came home from school one day, and ever since then I’ve been addicted to it like no other.
I believe I began developing in mid 2011 or 2012, it has definitely been awhile.
I’m not well known in the community by any means, other than being a discord moderator for the unofficial ROBLOX discord. My first ever game was able to reach the front page for a couple of days, and I got to witness it having more than 300+ players at once (yes, then it was a lot of players to be on a single game).
My current role within the developer community is a builder. I have been building for many years now, and I’ve been trying to get better at it. I’m also an aspiring programmer as well, although I don’t know much on Lua whatsoever, I know a little bit of other languages and that’s what I plan on following through with my career.
