Hi! My name’s Adam ;D
I found Roblox through a youtube video. It was a house building tycoon, and the youtuber joked about that he “bought land and started building his own house”, which, ironically, intrigued me.
I got started with development on the Roblox platform because of my love to programming and roblox, and I just started recently.
My current goals are to become a good developer in all areas, mainly scripting, and create a few games to start earning on them.
I will try to improve in all areas, although my building will probably not be as good as scripting or ui design… Currently I’ve already started learning Roblox Lua and I’m progressing quickly.
In my actual life right now I am completing 7 school grades in 2 years to quit school and start focusing more on my main interests, which could be programming and AI. I can 3d model in blender. Also at the point of writing this I lost my glasses. Just so that you know
Have a nice day

I really started playing Roblox in 2016, but I made my account back in 2013. I began playing around in Roblox Studio in late 2017. I never really learned much building, but I tried with scripting. I watched many YouTube videos to help me progress my scripting capability’s, but as of now I still only know the basics. Then I wanted to try graphic design & gfx. I began taking courses this year, and hope to follow through to becoming a near to professional graphic designer. I didn’t finish learning scripting, although that is a future goal, I’m planning on accomplishing.
I first saw ROBLOX in 2014 but thought the game was for PC only (I had a tablet back then). Two years later, I was watching DanTDM videos and noticed he was playing a game called ROBLOX. A few weeks later, shortly after the removal of TIX, I made my very first Roblox account. I am very active to this day.
I tried out Roblox Studio to make an Attack On Titan game, which I am still developing, but then realized I needed to learn how to script and build. So I started watching PeasFactory, who I really recommend for beginners. He explained very well on the basics of scripting (Variables, printing, function, etc.)
My goal is to turn my game into one of the biggest closed community games and work on other small successful projects.
My role… well I wouldn’t really say I am a scripter as I am learning but I am a really great builder.
I love this plantform because of the creativity put into the games. It is just MIND BLOWING!

Welcome to the Developer Forums @accidentalmeme! Good luck with the social hangout, I’ve always thought that would be a great thing to do but it’s quite hard. I have linked a thread that gives further information about this community, I suggest you read it through! Feel free to PM me with any questions.
Hi, i’m known as Erapty and i’m trying to be actually good at scripting, thats why i’m here.
I’m mainly a Builder, but i wanted to learn scripting, i like “giving parts life”.
I came here hoping to be helped by other experienced developers
I should’ve made one of these quite a while back, but I’m going to do one now.
I found Roblox with a google ad way back in 2011, I got into the development aspect because my friend toured me around one of his places which really amazed me and how powerful the Roblox development tools could be. I currently want to develop many games which is why i’ve started up a really new development group and i’m working with quite a few people to bring them stuff they enjoy I don’t usually work for hire but I thought if I help these people maybe it can give me more experience in the workplace but enough about my boring life story. My role in the community is mainly Programming however I do delve deeper and dabble with building, GFX and UI Designing but I mainly just Program.
I would just like to include that i’m really excited to be working with the Roblox tools and hope to see the rest of the community soon!
Hey, I’m Jexpler. I do a bit of everything. Some building some scripting, some GFX, and I’m currently learning 3d modeling. I hope to use this site to improve my standing in the roblox development community and improve my skills in development. I found roblox after my brother heard about it fro ma friend in 2012. I started developing when I just wondered how people learned Lua and decided to try to figure it out myself.
I recently was accepted as a ‘New Member’ into the developer forums. I first heard about Roblox in 2013 when a classmate was playing it on a school computer. In 2015 I first downloaded the game to give it a go. I remember spending hours playing wonderful user creations. I quickly wanted to become involved with the Roblox community. I started by making small free-modeled projects in 2016. Later that year I decided to play with a scripter I met. We made a small survival game together with zombies and monsters. Building was definitely my favorite part of development. I then took a break from Roblox development to become an active forum user. I was able to achieve over 4,500 posts (In All Things Roblox.) before the forum were removed. I got decent recognition from forum users under the username “Colin1255.” I later changed my username to Recontinued, and then DevRec (Developer-Recontinued), after feeling more inspired to create projects in Roblox studio. I created some smaller projects such as beach houses, small space maps, and even some terrain builds.
My goal is to become a better builder and modeler after receiving feedback and help on my builds. I am very glad that this forum is available to me and that it can be used to help improve myself and others.
I would also like to include that I am somewhat new to the developer community and would like to inform others that I am willing to receive and give help to other users. I am always happy to help a fellow developer and I look forward to meeting more of you on this journey.
Welcome to the developer forums @RecBtw, @Jexpler, @nathdabomb! Keep on learning and your current goals, and you’ll become a great modeler, in no time if you ever need feedback on your builds you can put them in #development-support:building-support category! Thank you for posting your introduction. Anyway! Here is a link to a thread that I suggest, reading it if you haven’t already. I forgot how I found Roblox, but I first started playing ~2008-09 (I think). Lotta cool games back then, and lot’s of cool games now.
I created some places of my own with a bunch of free models (no shame) after a couple of years of playing, but I’ve never seriously considered creating an actual game on Roblox.
I stopped playing Roblox as I got older, but recently returned because I realized that it’s really good intro into game developing, which I might pursue. Currently, my goal on this platform is to just create little things like a fully working car and some weapons that could, maybe, eventually lead up to a bigger game. Nothing too fancy.
I would like to get better at building and scripting in Roblox, which is why I am here.
I’m inspired by scripters/builders like takeovertom for his vehicles he made years ago, and @TGazza for his little projects that he does.
Welcome to the developer forums @WongFeiXyooj! There is a lot of users here that, can help you with building & scripting and you’ll get better, at it in no time.Thank you for posting your introduction. Anyway! I found Roblox in late 2010 through an advertisement on a flash games website, if I remember correctly. I didn’t develop at all in my early years on the platform. I got started on development probably around 2014 when I started making small games with my friends that would never release. I didn’t make anything of value until ~2016 when I started experimenting in post-apocalyptic building.
I had an opportunity to refine my development skills in 2017 when I was invited to help on a new update to After the Flash. The new town was a new development in level of detail for the series, and has long since been added in to the game. As I was already a moderator for that game at the time, I did it as volunteer work and expected no game-credit or pay - I was payed in the opportunity to be around skilled developers as we worked, and to have their help and critique. I assisted in a few minor projects for the game after that as well, but was never made a developer.
I stuck with the same team that worked on that town to this day. We have our own studio now and are currently developing a medieval fantasy role-playing game by the name of Mortalis. It is an ambitious project and spans a massive map filled with detailed builds, including inns, villages, military fortresses, old ruins, and more. My contribution to the project has been mostly in prop development.
While I haven’t taken many attempts at architecture, I would most definitely place myself in the category of Builder, as I’ve made hundreds of detailed props to decorate the games I’ve worked on.
I came to the Roblox development forums to attempt to network and gain some acquaintances in the development field. While I’m proud of the work I’ve done, I realize that in building with the same group over the past couple years has led to very little exchange in skill - not that we haven’t self-improved.
