  1. How did you find Roblox? I originally found ROBLOX while watching my old favorite YouTuber, DanTDM back in 2016 (On my old account before I moved to this one.)
  2. How did you get started with development on the Roblox platform? Back around 2017, I decided I wanted to learn Lua and thought ROBLOX would be a good idea as I already have an account there.
  3. Current goals/achievements on the platform My #1 goal is to get the game I develop for (Empty Baseplate SB) to get more well-known in the SB Community.
  4. What is your role in the developer community? Programmer

  1. I heard about ROBLOX when my brothers friends started talking about how a brand new game with millions of games in it, came out.
  2. I decided to start a hotel, lol, and I first went into Studio having no idea what I was using, searching up ā€œHotelā€ From the toolbox. Ever since then, I have loved studio and development.
  3. My goal is to make a restraunt tycoon, with no errors in scripts, and stuff.
  4. My role is clothing designer, UI, builder, etc. (I do a lot, lol.)
  5. I started reading devfourm on my other account, but it had safe chat so I could not sign up. I use this acc for devforum, after 2 days of reading on this acc, I got promoted to member, and I log on every single day.

  1. I found Roblox in 2015 when I was just watching an old Roblox youtube and got interested in Roblox and started playing on my Ipad 2. I keep forgetting my passwords, so I have lost most of my old accounts.
    But this is my newest one

  2. In 2019 , I had no experience with Roblox Scripting and I still wanted to make games. I used free models, but I never made a game. Then in Mid 2020 I started to learn how to script and I got really good at it that I might work on a new game soon.

  3. My current goal is to make a good game and try to reach 100 visits in the game alone before I actually start getting 1k visits.

  4. My role is Programming, Modeling, and Animating
    Though it might sound a lot, it is pretty fun to do all of these, because I donā€™t want to just do one thing.

  • Found Roblox after I saw a friend playing it back in 2015. Decided to try it out and here I am now.

  • I found how Studio worked and what it was after about 2 years and decided to try making something cool. After awhile I found it quite interesting. So I went on to make more and more games and now I got to here.

  • I am currently a game designer; I design games and give them the excitement they need.

  • My goal is to become a scripter in the near future. As for right now Iā€™m still a bit uncertain about command prompts.

i found roblox while looking for flash games when i was a kid. then i found roblox. it was pretty fun tbh.

i started developing games in late 2013. ā€œwith my cousin btwā€

my current goal is to be an good developer.

my role is builder. and ui designer.

and yeah , im a weird guy . lol.

-Found ROBLOX in 2017 through friends.

-I recently started getting into developing because my brother and I (weā€™re twins) came up with a few game ideas and were just like; ā€œHey we can do this!ā€

-Goals: Get better at developing; building, modeling, programming and designing
Achievements: Taught myself how to build (simplistic things)

-I am known for building and clothing designing.

mhm Iā€™m teaching myself Spanishā€¦and then Italian, French, and maybe German! I know Iā€™m a nerd!:nerd_face:

So uh, I joined the forum quite a while ago and never made a post. Iā€™ll take the time to make one now seeing as Iā€™m going to be using the forum more often now.

Joined in 2014 on my current account after one of my family members showed me a couple games on the platform. It wasnā€™t til a lot later that I got interested into development when I joined a couple groups that were actively looking for developers; that kick-started my career into developing (specifically, scripting and a wee bit of building).

I would say Iā€™ve been a scripter for a couple of years now, I think beginning around 2016, and Iā€™ve been scripting ever since (although with periods of low/no-activity to high activity, it varies). In fact, when I got lua down pat, I looked into other programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript (web and nodejs), HTML/CSS.

My goal before I really leave the platform is to create something I 100% made in terms of scripting. Still working on that to this day.

Hi Iā€™m DinoLee123456 and I have been playing Roblox since 2014. I learned about this game from letā€™s play YouTubers and soon found myself in love with this game. I am from HK so I am fluent in both Chinese and English. I want to be a Chinese translator for this platform.

Hello everyone. This is my first post, and I am happy to be part of the community. A little about myself:

  1. I found Roblox by my friend telling me about it back in 2015, when I played it on Mobile

  2. I started building by making custom bgs pets ā€“ and loved it!

  3. I have evolved to building low poly maps and can use blender pretty well now.

  4. So, I guess you can now call me a builder.

I am looking forward to sharing and learning with you.

  • How did you find Roblox?
    Itā€™s been on my radar since it came out. My first account has a user id with 4 digits :open_mouth: This community seems pretty cool.
  • Current goals/achievements on the platform
    Iā€™m the author of a childrenā€™s book called the "Caretaker Defiance Guide for thoughtful kids " I think some concepts in it are better experienced in a game than read. A game exploring the failings of grownups will do, I think, so that is what Iā€™m working on now.
  • What is your role in the developer community? (eg. GFX, UI Designer, Programmer, Builder etc)
    I do it all! Iā€™d like to focus on programming.
  • Anything else you would like to include
    My next post will hopefully be the collaboration forum with a demo of my game to try to recruit some help, but Iā€™m so skittish. Everything seems ready. Once I have the nerve, Iā€™ll post it.

Hello, Iā€™m ElectrifyThunder and Iā€™ve been playing Roblox since 2010 but started getting into developing recently. Iā€™ve visited Roblox Headquarters for my Make a Wish trip and I am glad to be accepted on this developer forum. Making games has been a dream to me for as long as I can remember but I never got into it. So Iā€™m trying to be serious about it this year and make a successful game. Thank You so much.

I am very happy to be here, I have been trying to get in for a very long time but I would be here earlier if Iā€™d be logged in always. I am Dudus, I am currently working on my first project that I will actually release on Roblox, Itā€™s a Youtubers Fighting type of game, I am not working alone I am with a friend who is a youtuber and he has almost 200k subscribers and he will advertise this game. I am working on a second project too which is a FPS Framework I have basic weapon settings and animations etc. I will use this framework in the future to make Bioscape my second big project. Hi! Iā€™m Ninjakitty and I enjoy building things on Roblox Studio! I havenā€™t been at it for long, though. I found Roblox on YouTube using channels such as Flamingo and ItsFunneh. I started with development after seeing all the great games on this platform and playing some of them! My goal is to create games that are both visually appealing and fun for players! I usually build, and I can script a little. I guess thatā€™s all!

I was introduced to Roblox by my friend, and I am glad to have joined. I started building on Roblox Studio
because I really wanted to make a game.
My best achievement on Roblox is reaching 1 million visits on one of my games.
I used to be a builder but now Iā€™ve switched to programming.

Hey! Iā€™m new to the dev forum!

1.I found Roblox from an ad on my dads work computer back in 2014-2015
2. Iā€™ve always thought of development as some super cool thing, and wanted to get into it ever since Iā€™ve heard about it!
3.Current goals are to just really make noticeable improvement.
4. I am a game programmer and I also build!
