Hi! Iā€™m TheBuffPigeon, formerly known as Raptor71, and Iā€™ve been on Roblox for almost 8 years, now. I found out about this platform in 2010, when I was 8 years old, and have been on it since. All due to an advertisment that interested me. I started off as any Roblox user did. I played games. And played games. And played games. It started getting boring when Jailbreak came out. I realized that all the popular games on Roblox were essentially copies of older, broken, games. No hate to Asimo or Badcc, I love what they do, just I wanted to change that. After being on for 8 years, Iā€™ve seen tons of large games come and go. Enough about my time on Roblox, time to get in the juicy stuff.

I am working on a game called ā€œAmericaā€™s Last Stand,ā€ a First Person Shooter. Progress is great. The name is probably going to change, as the acronym is ā€œALS,ā€ something that might be seen as me being ignorant. I want to get this game released as soon as possible, as itā€™s going to have a multiplayer and a campaign, something that an FPS hasnā€™t done before on Roblox.

I currently have the skills of building, mesh making, GFX, and very simple animations.

I came here to develop and chew bubble gum. And Iā€™m all out of gum.

Hey there, Iā€™m Kevin, 16, and I am the creator of Hyperloop simulator
I consider myself more of a builder than scripter. I started building in 2013, but mainly with F3X. I didnā€™t start playing with the actual studio until mid 2014; which was when I started my Hyperloop project. My next project will be the first realistic Golf Simulator on Roblox. I hope to work with some of you, as I have learned that it is painful to work on big projects alone.

My interests outside of Roblox includes Storm chasing and golfing. I am a lifelong hardcore meteorology enthusiast, and a varsity golfer. If you ever have questions regarding weather and golf, feel free to ask me.

Hey, Iā€™m Pixel. Just recently got accepted as an ā€œUpcoming Developerā€ ! Iā€™m super excited to be apart of such a wonderful community, and I hope you guys are accepting . I found Roblox through an Ad, believe it or not, in about 2011. Iā€™ve had multiple accounts since then but have been using my main since 2013. I started to learn to script around that time as well.
Iā€™ve always been fascinated with games and game design and it took me a really long time to even know Roblox Studio was even a thing. I mainly used youtube tutorials to help me out and some of the wiki.
My goals mostly include getting my self out there and definitely finishing a game and hopefully it getting popular. Iā€™ve never really fully published a game which I hope will happen soon.
Iā€™m mostly known for my building, but I can script pretty well. Iā€™ve been trying to keep both skills around the same level but Iā€™m starting to go in a building direction. Building is a really amazing way to get your ideas out there, and scripting just gives me such a rush to see scripts come to life.
Iā€™ve been dreaming of joining the Devforum for a few years now and Iā€™m excited to be here today, and Iā€™m glad Iā€™ve had this opportunity in life to pursue such an amazing career, this is going to lead me in my career of game development.

Hello, Iā€™m DaRefff. I am a Dev Forum Upcoming Developer. I look forward to chatting with other fellow Dev Forums members as well as helping grow the developer community by contributing as best I can.
I found Roblox on a Google ad a few years ago and the decided to start developing on the platform about a year ago. I am a Roblox builder and I still have a decent amount to learn. I stumbled upon a group of Developer friends who taught me a handful of the tips I still use today.Iā€™ve been drifting around from group to group building for people and in search for the perfect Developer group for me. I have also built on 3rd party programs before I started on Roblox so that gave me a decently large boost.
I am extremely excited to be apart of the Dev Forums and I hope to meet a ton of amazing developer friends here!

Hello there,

Iā€™ve been on the Roblox platform since 25th of September, 2008, meaning Iā€™ve spent more time on Roblox than half of my own lifetime! For the most part of that time, I never touched anything to do with the development side of Roblox up until around late 2013, whereby I created this account with the intention of having a fresh account to create a game on. Letā€™s just say that nothing really came from that.

I then decided to focus on another little hobby i had been doing earlier that year, I had recently obtained a copy of Cinema 4D from a friend and began to create and play around with it, making shoddy animations and renders (Nothing compared to the amazing standards we have today). Near the start of 2014, on the original Next Level stream, a commercial contest was announced - whereby you could submit a Roblox themed commercial about a game, item or something related to the site - I decided to create a simple animation related to lolerisā€™ The Darkness 2 game. Somehow I managed to win in said contest. Afterwards I never really did anything more with animation and eventually learned how to use Studio and try and create a few projects.

Whilst Iā€™ve never actually had any success in a project (Then again, Iā€™ve never even attempted to publish one as of yet), Iā€™m keen to join the wider development community to share and collaborate.

Hello everyone,

I am devOmegax and I was recently accepted to join the community. First let me start by saying it will be nice to meet you all and itā€™s a pleasure being apart of the community. I came across Roblox one day in the library; there was a person there who was playing a game that was playing a rather interesting game, So I asked him what was the name of it and he said ā€œRoblox.ā€ So I got onto the computer next to him and began playing this ā€œRobloxā€ from that day since.

I began developing a few months (Roughly 8 - 12 months) after I notice a mysterious little blue icon that I had never seen before, it was similar to the Roblox logo. This image was the icon we all know as Roblox Studio.

I am currently working on a game known as ā€œBomb Itā€. I soon hope to release Bomb It in early-to-mid of 2018. My current ambitions overall are to bring games to Roblox that no one has ever seen before.

I currently am a Builder and a Programmer, although more proficient in building I am improving my skill and learning new ones in all aspects as time progresses.

Finally to conclude, if you would like to keep track of my work you or contact me, I am fairly active on twtter @devOmegax.

Hi everyone, Iā€™m helperobc!

I found out about Roblox back near the end of 2011(It may have even been early 2012, itā€™s been so long!). One of my friends had told me about this game called ā€œRobloxā€ and that I should try it. So eventually I managed to download and start playing Roblox. I can tell you back then I was enjoying play games. I eventually got my first account budm5 back in June of 2012. I really wanted to change my name back then, but that wasnā€™t a future; so I ended up creating this account and sticking to it.

The way I got started developing was a strange one, and actually I hardly remember how I even found out about Roblox Studio. I remember wanting to creat games, but I had convienced my self that I would never be able to learn a Programming Language of any sort. Turn around and in 2013 I started to pick up some code in Roblox, It wasnā€™t much and until recently (Apx 2 years ago, maybe a bit more) I was not doing much for programming.

Some current goals I have right now is to eventually get a game on the front page. The problem with this is Iā€™m not the person whoā€™s good at building. Trust me Iā€™ve tried and it all turns out horrible. Iā€™m also working on some stuff for Roblox Planes, one of which I can tell you is to stop in mid-air and not have to use a ā€œcruise brickā€ (AKA Altitude Hold).

My current role as a developer would be Programming. Iā€™ve tried to do stuff on my own, but the lack of building skills doesnā€™t help. Infact I spent 2 hours on making a model for a elevator and I think It turned out good, but Iā€™m sure thereā€™s going to be someone to top it.

It doesnā€™t help that itā€™s hard for me to come up with new ideas, but when I do get some I tend to create a place and end up forgetting about it. What I think I need is someone to keep up with bugging me to get things done. I mean I worked with one person and made some good progress on it, but that was with them bugging me every now and then. What I need is encouragement, and working on a team seems to give me that. (P.S. that person im refering to well, you know who you are.)

-- Some things you should know about me. --

My Dad passed away in 2016 and things have been tough recently. My mom is now just getting back into the habit of getting everything in order, and It took her pushing me to get in after school for help with homework when I needed it. If it wasnā€™t for the Teacher I go to after school pushing me and checking with me of what Iā€™ve got done i would be re-taking all my 9th grade classes next school year along with doing 10th grade classes.

Iā€™ve also recently started expanding my programming knowledge with going into Java! I started making a plugin for Minecraft Servers. Which it hasnā€™t been much, but it does interact with the world and even a MYSQL Database.

Iā€™ve taken programming in Java to FRC Robotics as well. Which has given me some more experience in it. Working with a team has helped me to make sure Iā€™m there every single meeting to continue programming the robot, this year itā€™s a lot of coding for Autonomous than anything else. If your in FRC Robotics you might see me depending on where your regional is this year. Iā€™m on team 6455, so I guess be looking for us?

Iā€™m pretty sure I also have the avation bug. I took my first flight in Boy scouts and it actually made me go and get one of the most ā€œunrealisticā€ simulators for flight, Microsoft Flight Simulator X(Steam Edition). I do have some payware aircraft that actually make the experience better. I also have a Joystick which gives me some feel for ā€œflyingā€ an aircraft, however thatā€™s not 100% like real life, especially being in FSX. All I can say is that it wouldnā€™t be bad going into Avation for a job. The only thing that really would bug me about commercial avation would be, being away from home.

Finally to finish this off, I also have twitter where I tend to post what iā€™ve acomplished or what Iā€™m doing in Roblox Studio, I also post other stuff as well that arenā€™t related to roblox. If you want you can find me on twitter: @helperobc

Hey everyone, Iā€™m new here and Iā€™m so glad I could finally be part of the ROBLOX Developer forum. Iā€™m going to try to keep this short and snappy. I initially joined ROBLOX in 2012 beacause many of my friends played it, I started out just playing games, clanning and just exploring what there was to do on ROBLOX. I was very actively trading, clanning and enjoying games but I was also interested in how they were made. I like building and was learning to script a bit. I am now a good builder and am trying to improve my LUA knowledge. I have made a few games, but I want to carry on and go further. I am very happy to be a part of this forum.

Thankā€™s for the opportunity!
