I have been working for the past 5 years as a developer on Roblox, and I have now decided to join the Dev Forums, and I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported me along my way to accomplish this.
I am in charge of recreating a full scale Disneyland, right on Roblox! I have been building for the past 5 years on studio, and began scripting back in 2013. I have been working in many projects during my time on Roblox, from building with other groups that had a dream to recreate different Disney parks to other outside projects such as custom showcases, which I ended up stop doing as I saw that I was passionate towards recreating Disneyland.
I hope to enjoy being part of this team of developers, to show to the public we can make anything as we put fourth determination and be inspired to make games for others to enjoy.
Thank you all for reading, hope you enjoyed! Here is a little picture of what I do:
Hello everyone! Iām Bladefury, I make small games and places for random people (or communities) when I feel like it. I mostly specialize in small scenery objects. Hai!
Hello, I am ElectroTM (or Electro). I was accepted into the devforums just last night. Iām a scripter and enjoy helping other developers with their questions and problems. I have been developing on this account for a little over a year and a half, although a few years before I did some casual free model games for fun with my brother. He and I have been on Roblox since 2010.
I havenāt officially released any games on my personal account, but I think there are some tech demos open on my ElectroTM group, and there are some rather successful games with my name in the credits.
Iām very happy to be a part of the devforum community!
Hey guys, Nanami_Chiaki here, formerly known as CrakTheRaven/Crakkitty.
Iām a current computer science student as USC who has played roblox for a long time now. Over the past few months, Iāve primarily been developing games in Unreal Engine and Unity, however I hope to furthermore experiment with lua as a scripting language and continue working on ROBLOX games.
Well I am new here, I did most of my work in the Colonial/Napoleonic genre. I lead a group known as SRA and do activities with them daily. My current project is a golden age themed adventure RPG known as Pirate Waters. I am excited to be here and hope to get to know you all in this great community!
Hey Iām Fly, you can call me whatever you want though - In development I āspecializeā with building (of all styles), and Iāll probably try to always be around and able to be contacted here.
Hello!
I am DevAndero. I like scripting, not first person shooters, but more like sandbox tycoons, etc.
Iām totally thrilled that I got here, I didnāt believe I would
Iām hoping to meet new people on the forums and getting here really motivates me to develop even more!
Hello, I just got accepted a few weeks ago and havenāt had time to post yet, since I was building my new computer. I joined roblox in 2014, which is the same year I started to develop.
How many reference pictures do you typically use for replicating things like the Disney castle? Iāve always been curious about people who make such detailed replicas of buildings on Roblox.
For the castle I had to use 1 youtube video to get the are around it, and then about 2-3 pictures. For other things such as attractions, more than 20 most of the time, I do this because I like to get everything down to detail, so I need to make sure I got full perspective of different angles people would see something like the Disney castle at.
Iām Jegabert. Iāve been playing since '10 and have gone from building in ROBLOX to 3D modeling when I went through college for animation. I used to build models of guns or star ships but now I mostly try to push the limit of detail that I can get into ROBLOX. I do that either by uploading mesh items or by baking my own lighting into textures and then uploading them to my game. aside from that I have made a metric ton of Skyboxes that are still being used by the community, even though i made them some time ago. Im really excited to join the dev community and thanks again for the invite!
Iām colbert2677. Iāve been playing ROBLOX since 2010 and I have always been fascinated by the development aspect of ROBLOX, whether that was in the form of tycoons or getting used to Studio.
As I played ROBLOX, I thought to myself, āhey, I want to make something cool like x game here!ā. Thatās when I started getting into the Studio aspect of ROBLOX and worked my hardest to try to produce something I could be proud of and share with the community.
I started to self-teach scripting at 9 years old. Iām still not that great, but I hope to learn something new every day (Iām probably still a novice scripter compared to many!).
I am really excited and happy that I was able to join the DevForum and I thank ROBLOX for sending an invite out to me. Thank you!
