- How did you find Roblox?
A friend showed me a couple of years ago. - How did you get started with development on the Roblox platform?
Always wanted to develop a game, Roblox is the perfect way to make a good game with few resources. And make I available for millions of people without any advertising. - Current goals/achievements on the platform
Secret hehe - What is your role in the developer community? (eg. GFX, UI Designer, Programmer, Builder etc)
All of them… lol - Anything else you would like to include
Having problems with textures on meshes.
Hi, I’m Soe and I just recently joined this platform.
I’ve been in this community since 2013 and found it through a friend. At first my goal was to start making games and script but soon started working on graphic designs such as animations, game icons, logos and etc. My goal is to improve on not just graphic designs but also other things such as building and programming. I would say my main role would be a Graphics Designer but I’m also offering localization services in Thai and Swedish.
Hello.
I found Roblox 7-8 years ago.
This is actually where I made my first program, like text-based program.
Achievements:
Pretty good programmer,
I have made a maze generator
I have made a pathfinding algorithm
I can make custom rigs for animation
I am very knowledgeable in the roblox physics department
Goals:
Get a successful game going
(5 constant players is what I’m shooting for)
I found Roblox in fall of 2009 when my brother was on the old Roblox House default map blowing it up with that classic “bomb” tool. I’ve been hooked ever since.
I got started developing on Roblox in 2009 when I tried making Star Wars levels/maps/models in early Roblox, they were not good - but I was siked at the time when making them. From there I tried to make my own War Clan, built the fort for that - then did some more Star Wars building and my skills lunged forward in fall of 2017 and have brought me a lot of interest since.
My goal is to create games which a lot of people enjoy and for which I get recognition, I have a lot of creativity and am starting to tap avenues to materialize those.
My achievements are building for my personal Warclan HDA (860 members) TRA (55k members) Koala Assocation (150k members) and TJO (150k members)
I am a Builder.
I teach people how to build, and instruct them on very fancy lighting tricks in addition to having very in depth group leading experience.
Hello there everyone!
My name is mariodylan, and I have been a long time veteran of Roblox. I first joined all the way back in July 2010 after being a long time fan of old Roblox YouTubers like JJ5x5 and XiaoXiaoMan. But after playing for a couple more years, I realized there was so much more to the platform and what I could do on it. So I decided to open up my field a bit to doing Graphic Design, a tad bit of building, and making Roblox videos.
At this point in time, I’m still new to a lot of the developing side of Roblox. I’ve only been doing small stuff for a year now like making designs for my games and designs for other people’s games (mainly my friends.) I started getting into doing Graphic Design by seeing re textures of hats and thinking I would like to learn how to do that someday, which I’m doing now!
My Current goal right now is to advance my knowledge with Graphic Design and hopefully move on into other territories like UI Design and GFX. I would also like to make it my goal to help as many people as possible so that I can be looked too as someone who knows what their doing and can be seen as helpful.
I would say my current role right now is being a Graphic Designer, though I hope to learn how to master UI designing and 3D Modelling soon!
I’ve been waiting for this day to come for 3 years and I won’t let anyone down. I can’t wait to work with all of you!
Hey there! Roblox member since 2013.
Once an aspiring Roblox developer, I am now a full-stack developer working on other projects outside of Roblox. Thanks for having me, it’s good to be here!
Hello, my name is CrazyMadScience.
I joined Roblox in early 2014 while searching for something to spend time doing.
I wasn’t really interested in any kind of development at that time. As time went on I came to realize that I too could become a part of the creator community, I just had to learn how. I tried my hand at learning how to script, and even build. It was slow work, and It still is. I’m not the best at it, but I’m still learning to this day. Soon I came to realize that I could create art for other Roblox users, and they would pay me in robux. This in game currency could be traded for real world currency. And so I began to try and learn to create “GFX”. I’m still getting better at that today.
If I have any real goal on this platform, It’s probably to get better at creating…
If I had to assign my self a role in the developer community, I would say Artist, because that’s what I am.
Anywho, thanks for taking the time to read this long boring post.
Welcome new members make sure to read the rules!
Hey there, i’m KoltonDev, i’ve been on Roblox since 2015 and how I found Roblox was from one of my friends and since then i’ve been hooked.
I got started with creating games on Roblox when one of my friends let me help him on his game and from that he also taught me some stuff.
My current goal is to finally use DevEx from revenue from my game, oh and another goal is to get my game on the front page but im quite far from that
I’d say my current role is a builder but also pretty good at programming
hey there I’m 02Alien, I’ve been on Roblox since way back in 2010. Found it through some friends, quit for a while around 2012, then came back about a year and a half ago.
I got involved with development because a friend of mine and I wanted to get into the dev side of things, which we’d never done when we used to play.
My current goals with the platform is just to try and improve on my programming skills/practices, and create games and game systems in my spare time. My primary focus right now is on a remake of the classic ‘Brick Battle’ genre I’m working on.
I’m primarily a Programmer, though I do some building on the side.
Hello,
I am a programmer and script library maker.
I have been trying to get Membership Status for over 2 years
and I am happy to finally be part of this community.
I look forward to partaking in the fun of the forums.
Hello,
I am a novice programmer who has experience with Visual basic and Lua who is currently studing Computer Science at University/College.
I first found Roblox as a child back in 2008 where Roblox was still in its early years. I only understood about the develop side of Roblox back in 2016 where I began to develop car models on Roblox. As I grew older, I experimented with scripting and 3D modeling in blender.
My current goals are to improve my skills as a developer which can then also improve my studies. As of now I am currently developing a game on this platform to test my currently abilities and to improve on my weaknesses.
I look forward to meeting new developers and taking part in this community.
I’m zQ86. I like to work on a bunch of games that I never finished, most progress on Realistic Life. I’m more of a “meh” builder, but a good scripter. I’m kind of a graphics artist.
Thank you for accepting me.
Hi! I’m oayd! I am an intermediate scripter and GUI designer. I am also able to translate English to Dutch in a reasonable amount of time. I’m not the best builder in any matter, but I am able to make simple props or exterior buildings. I’ve been playing roblox since mid-2009, and probably won’t stop anytime soon.
I’m looking forward to working with fellow developers!
Hi!
I’m Spraden, which is close to my actual name Braden.
I found Roblox back around 2011 when they aired ads on the shows I used to watch, probably on DisneyXD or something similar. I actively started developing in November of last year when I started to learn Lua. I hope to release a full game of what I currently have in the works but I know it’ll take a long time lol.
I like to program, and do very minimal UI.
Thanks for reading!
Welcome to the Developer Forum!
Hello! I’m Pancake and I started developing on the platform in 2017, the same time I joined. I have worked with lua a lot outside of roblox and game development, and a friend of mine asked if I would be interested in doing some minor scripting work for him and his group. I ended up joining roblox and tossed a few minor scripts together, and I took off from there. Currently I’m working towards developing some vehicle mechanics for my group and games, as well as generally trying new things, even building here sometime soon though I’m currently not very good at that. I’m excited to be here!
Hi.
I’m ScorpiusSilver.
I discovered roblox back when I was 11 via a person I met in real life.
I was actively involved in roblox groups for many years. When I started to lead my own groups, I realized that I’d have to learn Development. So I taught myself how to build and rescript things. I know how to program in Python, C++, Javascript, HTML, & CSS.
I am interested in learning LUA, helpings others, gain some more Development Experience, and eventually turn ideas into games.
I know how to build, program/script, and Full Stack Web Development.
Greetings! It’s great to be a part of this forum.
I have used Roblox for about 10 years now and had an account for almost 9 years. I was big into online games I stumbled upon it one day and instantly fell in love. I started building in studio about a year after I made my first account and have been developing ever since. My current goal is to generally improve my skills in programming, graphics design, UI design, and building. I do pretty much everything but I’d primarily consider myself more of a programmer than anything else. I look forward to contributing to the Developer Forums!
Hello, my name is BarryYeeBenson, and I have been around on the Roblox platform since around January 2013. It’s a really cool feeling finally being in the Developer Forum, even as a new member.
Yes, before we do continue, my name is inspired from The Bee Movie…
I’ve always had an interest in building, and it’s something I have quite enjoyed a lot. I remember using the old fashioned stamp tool and behind able to edit my baseplate in game. I guess I thought it was good back then, but I’ve only really been good at building over the last few months.
Hopefully joining the developer forum will help me improve my building skills and progress my talents further. I have already worked on a few small commissions and I cover mostly modern styles as most of my work has only been for small company and franchise groups.
S’il vous plait et au revoir!
