Inventory design options

Just wanting opinions on 2 inventory systems I made.
Straight edges

Rounded edges

Just tried to keep both simple till I had a design option in mind.
But do rounded edges ‘always’ look better?

Also any advice on colours. I used an orange colour with the rounded edge ones as trying to create a border was too tedious (borders being 1 pixel too big on one side, etc. my ocd needs every pixel to be perfect) But if the straight edges looks better, would it be better to have an orange selection, or just use outline to show selection?

Im loving the straight edged inventory more than the rounded in this case. I recommend you add the orange select colour on it and it would look perfect. Please send me when done :+1::laughing:

I think you should keep the straight ones but still with the white outline select. It gives me a dungeon vibe which is kinda good to keep people playing. The orange doesn’t match the grey at all, very weird color pattern. @NinjoOnline

Depends on the theme of you game. I think both are really good. The straight edges are cool and edgy. Choose that option for a grimdark space opera theme. The rounded edges are nice. Choose that for a cartoony casual game. Just pick whichever fits best into the rest of your project.

Blue better??

Personally still prefer orange, especially if you use it in other UI elements.

Yeah def. that fits the style better!

I prefer blue as that fits the grey more, orange fits yellow and purple better.

I feel the blue makes it feel really sci-fiy tho. I’m going for more medieval

Change the blue to orange, Like you said blue makes it look sci-fi.

But it looks good!
