Inverse Kinematics in Blender

Hi! This is a pretty generic question, but I could not find anything related to it on the forums. How do Inverse Kinematics (IK Constraints) work with @Den_S 's Blender rig exporter/animation importer (preferably in Blender 2.79, but if an easy method to do this isn’t supported in Blender 2.79, I will proudly move to 2.8).

I wish to give this wolf model IK constraints specifically for it’s legs, and perhaps it’s tail. Using the plugin, I have achieved this:

However, I am unable to rotate the joints, and moving them does not move them in the way I’d wish to animate them.
It’d be great if someone could instruct me on using IK with specifically Roblox-imported custom rigs, and provide me some insight to whether or not it’s possible to make this work with the rotation of joints. Thank you so much!
