I just got IP logged when some guy was trying to get me to make a kill script for him. I already knew how malicious he was so I was careful, but somehow he still managed to IP log me while I was in studio in his game.
Here’s the full conversation. He used to work for some group called MUGEN and he diverged it into his own group and the reason why I said this was I was browsing google and I saw someone say that MUGEN IP logged people and they proved it
I gave in and started trusting him and made him a script but just as I finished he double crossed me and IP-logged me. Now I don’t really have a problem with having my IP seen because you can’t really do much with it unless you’re a super duper hacker which I don’t even think Zoyagra is.
And also, I made the kill script very detailed in hopes that he would fulfill his promise but it turned out he didn’t
TL;DR
If anyone can tell me how this works and what I could do in the future to prevent this, it’d be great.

This is where I’m not sure if I should care if someone has my IP or not, especially just some guy on ROBLOX. What can they do to me in real life? Mail me junk? Post my IP on the internet? What I’m more concerned about is what someone can do to harm my computer if they had my IP.
Do you have proof he actually has your IP? It just seems like hes saying it unless I missed the message, only way I can presume he “got your IP” was by sending you a sketchy link or download.
Your location security and safety are much more important than your PC’s safety. Also I think they disguised the roblox link they sent you and redirected you to the real roblox website, just a thought.

I never clicked on any links he sent. Literally the only thing I did was open studio in his game. Also, there have been other accounts of it floating around the internet. This isn’t such a big deal to me, but it may be for some. One thing I do know about him is that he lives in Romania, and his roblox main account is Yoz - Roblox

I didn’t want to ask him any further after he told me my geolocation. He couldn’t have gotten that info anywhere else except for mr_number who I’m sure hasn’t told him my IP. Besides, there have been other accounts floating around the internet and it’s more plausible he actually logged my IP instead of pretending to
So he knows your geo location? However, this issue seems more oriented towards a discord issue and not roblox studio so I don’t think asking on the devforum could really help (plus It doesn’t fit this topic )
If things get hectic though, you can always try contacting discord staff or help if he does something sketchy with it.

Don’t know where else this post should fit in. Can’t post in platform feedback. When it comes to security, I’m pretty sure Discord has more things figured out than ROBLOX does. It’s also much more limited what you can do and it’s impossibly unlikely that he’d get my IP from just a voice call
There were plenty of times discord users got exploited and hacked, platforms will always have a vulnerability regardless of where and when. Even drama/canceling happens due to them
However, you could (Warning I am not a knowledgeable dude so uh, take this with a huge rock of salt) try asking roblox staff/customer service/devrel if you’re for certain he actually does have your IP and that he did get it via roblox studio. But I don’t believe there is any place on the devforum that this post fits, probably might get taken down if a mod sees this as well. But if you’re not certain, you could always take measures to protect and secure some things on your computer.
