If I make players take an in game IQ test or something similar and require them to score above a certain point to gain access, would that get me banned? I’m not worried about player count or like to dislike ratio and the test isn’t going to be anything difficult but if I were to go through with this would I get in trouble with moderation?
Why would it get you banned? Like just why? What makes you think you’ll get banned?
Also no, you won’t get banned at all as it’s nothing inappropriate.
Something about discrimination in the rules might get me
Good idea, why would you do that tho, I get it’s funny but for players it might be annoying
The game I’m making has intricate mechanics and relies a lot on teamwork so I don’t want players who are incapable of grasping the mechanics in my game
IQ does not dictate how good you are at any given thing, it’s more so you’re capacity to learn and grasp concepts
Discrimination? No, I doubt that.
You are just taking a test to see which player would qualify to play your game. It just depends on the players skill and not how they look/were born as. That’s not discrimination.
As @talis783 already mentioned, IQ is hardly a valid metric to measure how good/reliable someone will be while playing your game. It’s not a predictor of any kind.
