I’m looking to either advertise or sponsor my game, but with this new advertisement and sponsorship update I’m not exactly too sure how much I should spend as well as if I should advertise or sponsor my game to begin with. I can spend a maximum amount of 20,000 Robux on advertising or sponsoring, depending on which one I do.

I feel like it is more than enough.
Maybe diverse it into Ads on the Roblox site and sponsor your game using Robux {R$}.
You can also advertise using multiple social media platforms, which I will not name since I do not know if it can get me in trouble for advertising. But I think you get the point.
Im not sure if you should rely on me the most, I havent really advertised/sponsored recently. But sponsors are probably the way to go for a number of reasons.
With the new desktop app, its harder to see ads. Sponsors do still show up.
Also, its more likely for someone to click your game if its a sponsor with a good icon.
Should be just enough, but it never hurts to raise more.
I’d try doing 1 sponsor for 2k a day. See how it plays out
Try sponsoring on social media and in servers that allow it to get more players
