Is a Dual Grid System Possible? (pixel art game)

Hello!
I am a new developer who is hoping to make a new pixel game! I know little about scripting and I am still learning, but I was hoping if maybe some scripting pros could give some advice if making a dual grid system is possible and, if so, reasonable for game performance.

So what am I talking about?

A dual grid system.

This method would help me create less pixel tiles, but it requires some scripts and two grids that must be square or hexagonal to make it possible.

Did you look around at others’ forums?

Yes! I found helpful tutorials like Deadwoodx’s tutorial and EgoMoose’s tutorial, but I haven’t quite find a topic that has been able to create a reasonable dual system. Thank you for reading and have a great day!

I think its possible, but could be a challenge if your new.

Okay thank you! I might give it a shot then and see how far I get with it. It doesn’t seem like Roblox has their own editable grid or an option to add in multiple grids, should I make my own grids with mesh planes for the lowest performance?

You can, but Im not sure performance wise.
