Is a ParticleEmitter "Rate" of 50 too much?

I’m making orbs for my game and some of the particle emitters within them have a rate of 50. Is this going to cause lag? There will be around 40 of these orbs in the game.

The rate is so high because I need the neon white effect you see in the center of the orbs.

what I usually do is check for other graphic qualities

switch your graphic mode to Manual
and just see if level 1 is too high, too low or just right

How do you change it to Manual? I don’t see that option

just a slight correction; try seeing if level 3-5 quality is too high, too low or just right, not level 1

yep, that’s why it’s to check if it’s too intense or not for the player

I would say its prolly fine I have particle emitters with like rate of 1000 in my game, I don’t think they would even go that high, so sometimes I just duplicate them in the same part :skull: :skull: :skull:

No. And even if it was, Roblox automatically caps and throttles particles, so don’t worry.
