I usually only accept robux payment, but I am often offered robux giftcards instead for my drawings.
I am extremely unfamiliar with them, I know how to prevent myself getting scammed as long as I watermark my work and don’t give it to them until I am able to redeem, but what’s the catch?
Are people able to charge-back in Roblox giftcards? Or get me banned somehow? I’m extremely confused in how they work.
I don’t think so. Unless they redeem it before they send it, you should be fine.
I have read people mentioning they have got scammed when getting paid with a giftcard another user bough for them. Basically they kept the receipt and waited for the other person to use the card and sue them for card thefth in some way also message Roblox support concerning the issue. Not sure if I’m explaining this correctly but it’s what I remember reading in another post on dev forum on a risk possible with gift card payments.
Only works if the first purchase was a gift card, since it is proof of “identification” since you can’t prove another method. Not sure if they patched but highly doubt it since it is a form of identification. Roblox takes email or billing for idenitification.
I wouldn’t use a gift card, it’s best you take another form of payments.
Yes, but so is other forms payment. Also, I don’t get why someone would pay with a Roblox givecard instead of, idk, PayPal or even Group Payouts.
