Is agains ToS to create a horror game?

hello, I’m working at an FNaF game, but I think it is against ToS what I think i want to do. I show how the child got bitten and how Purple Guy killed the children (not showing, only the screams). After, one of the players will be the night guard which needs to survive from the angry souls of the children in Animatronics. This is against ToS? It will not contain gore, only screams and jumpscares

Horror games are permitted on ROBLOX. There are many popular horror story games on ROBLOX, even some that have won awards.

However, what may not be permitted is the content you include in the game.
You must ensure that all the content that is included in your game does not break ROBLOX’s ToS.

Some examples of things that are not permitted are:

• Swearing/strong language
• Blood/gore

You should remember that a large audience on ROBLOX are young and they will likely visit your game, meaning you should make sure the content is not too innappropriate.

This is why your game shouldn’t be very scary (especially for a younger player). It can have horror but make sure it’s not too scary, as ROBLOX may not approve the of this.

(I’m pretty sure jump scares are allowed however I’m not 100% sure. I’d say the most likely are just limit the amount you include)

Good luck with your game!

It does not have blood, and by gore you mean screams? this is an example of a game like how the part of the surviving from the animatronics: Animatronics Awakened.

And can you explain more by “gore”

A lot of bloody, violent scenes/animations is what I mean by “gore”.
Screaming audios are alright I presume.

it does not have a lot of blood, but if you saw FNaF jumpscares, Animatronics jump at you, that is alright? and i have one idea but i think it have to violent animations: When the player is killed by an animatronic he will get him and will put him into an Animatronic Costume

I’d say it’s okay. But whilst developing the game, imagine if you were a younger child playing the game. Make sure it is not too frightening for a young audience.

Actually it can be too frightening for a younger audience, as long as it doesn’t contain intense gore/swearing.

Like others have already said, it being a horror game would not be an issue. However, you should be careful not to use FNaF as the name of your game or use any characters since they’re likely to be copyrighted. Just change the characters enough to make your game original and you shouldn’t have any issues.

FNaF don’t use in any game Fredbear of SpringBonnie, but they mention their name in some books, can i use Fredbear and SpringBonnie?

I’d change it so it’s clear what you mean but less likely to be a violation. Something like “Fred the bear” and “Spring von E.” Obviously these examples are bad but you get the idea.

More importantly, don’t name your game something like FNaF Roblox, and don’t use any music/textures/images from FNaF. Those are more of an actual concern than whether the names are the same or not — I doubt they’d be able to stop you from naming a bear Freddy.

Fred the bear sounds good but Spring von E not. I will try to find a good idea of name, thanks!

Roblox has a ‘category’ for horror (like when making a game, shirt, etc.). So, I doubt it. As long as its not like gory or something, it should be fine. :woman_shrugging:t4:
