Is allowing players to buy a "Vaccine" allowed?

So I’m creating a game and a small side part is that every once in a while, a player that didnt purchase the “Vaccine” (with in-game currency) will possibly get a virus which could be spread by touching others.

If this isn’t allowed, should I try to create a work-a-round or just scrap the entire idea to begin with? The game is mostly a social/fighting game.

Edit: The game won’t be depicting any sort of pills/syringes. It will just be the sentence “Buy a vaccine?” or something like that.

You could probably do this, as long as there is no realistic virus stuff in there, make it like a ‘Vaccine’ but not like a injection or anything. Roblox will most probably class it as a Health Regen.

Personally, I would try avoid selling any sort of “vaccine” or medication within your game, and go towards something that can be made imaginary / on your own, to ensure you don’t get into any trouble for creating anything related to medication or health that could possibly influence kids (due to the most of the platform being a younger audience, what they see can influence what they believe, etc).

If I change it to “Prevent Possible Virus Contamination” instead of “Vaccine” would this work? It then wouldn’t be anything about vaccines, it would just prevent a possible virus.

Also to be clear-er, this virus isn’t based on anything going on in the real world. Just a simple script that decreases the players health till zero.

Or you could do like a more ‘kid friendly’ way of Medical Checkup or something. As some of you know games get banned for some medical virus stuff.

That wouldn’t really fit in with my game, thank you though.

I would just come up with a name for whatever it is. And I completely understand that yes, its just what I have seen in the past on similar topics about using “vaccines” or medications within games.

The best way to think about it is, if you have to think about / doubt the idea, try to think of something else.

I think you should or should be allowed. Only if it doesnt have effects like current viruses. Lets say there was a real life virus call Koko and if you got it you get constipated. Dont put in the game the same effects Koko you have to make them different like nausea or sleeping sickness stuff like that. I think that would work

We were injected with Vaccine when we’re like… 3-5 year old, so what?

Its different he didnt say it was the beer. He just said a virus

I don’t know who this reply is for but my idea isn’t depicting that.

It is allowed as long as you don’t use terms like ‘drug’ and you don’t take in the vaccine in anyway like eating it or through injection.

I also recommend not adding it rn because, not because its against TOS, but its just very frowned upon rn,.

As the @uD0ge said, as long as there is no real life virus in there or as long as the Vaccine doesn’t include 18+ chemicals , it should be totally allowed. If you have time you should check the ROBLOX rules.

Here are related Roblox rules:

  1. Overly violent content and/or content related to tragic current events or circumstances. We do not allow such content, including:
  • Atrocities, massacres, and other shocking real (or pseudo-real) world events; and
  • Extreme violence, physical or psychological abuse.

(B3.3.2 - B3.3.3)

  • Pills, syringes, or other content representing drug paraphernalia or drug use are not permitted.

  • Alcohol, alcoholic references, drunkenness, smoking cigarettes, cigars, and vaping are not permitted.

As long as you follow these rules, your content follows guidelines.

This is allowed, only thing is that players don’t like that there’s a virus in some games.

I’ll wait until it’s no longer frowned upon.

Thank you all though.
