Eh, you should use Metasequoia , It’s way better than blender, and way easier to learn from. It’s very easy to make mesh, ect for roblox.
What i do is make models in roblox like buildings and then make meshes or complicated builds in blender such as guns and swords and player accessories.

It is quite hard when you just get to blender because you might not know what those buttons are meant to be. But after messing around for a while and look up on YT, You should get the basic on how to operate blender very well.
Well, yea in my opinoin because I use that everytime. It can help you create 3D models much easier, but the problem is the tutorial for starters that application is hard.
This is an example to demonstrate why blender is superior over studio. Studio is severely outdated for what is expected out of modern level designs.
I would have to say over all yes it’s the best. A lot of places where you can 3D Model other than blender like sketch up cost way too much money. With blender you’re able to 3D Model for free and get high quality results. Roblox Studio can’t really handle what blender can when it comes to quality, controls, skills, etc. For example Roblox Studio can’t make a cone shape smooth but blender can. Remember blender also has sculpting and that tool helps a lot of 3D Modelers out. I think if you’re looking for one blender is the way best of luck, John.
This all depends on what you are making. Modeling itself, like chairs and benches should be done in Blender if you have the knowledge, you’ll generally get a higher quality product in the end. If you were to get that Quality in Roblox, it would take quite a bit longer to achieve.
As for Building the main structures of buildings, like the structure of a Hotel, I think its pointless in that aspect to use something like Blender, it would end up being more complex.
The thing Blender has that Roblox doesn’t is the ability to be used on multiple platforms: You become a 3D modeller on Roblox, you can become a 3D modeller for other games. With Roblox tools, your a Builder on Roblox, no more, no less. You can also achieve a lot more realism and detail in Blender due to the features it offers that Roblox studio simply can’t handle.
I wouldn’t use Blender for making everything, as I have sort of said, as Roblox studio does have its limits, and very large meshes can push it for the creator on Studio, but should give users a seamless and wonderful experience, with less lag than using all Roblox tools.
Builder | A Builder is someone who uses Roblox Studio to make their creations. Typically Builders focus more on architecture and the main structure rather than making the Models that fill in the main structure.
Modeller | A Modeller is someone who mostly uses external applications such as Blender to make their creations. Most good modellers have experience in Blender or another program of that sort, it is quite rare to come across a very good Modeller who uses Roblox Studio tools and plugins.
For being a Builder, use Roblox studio, For being a Modeller, use Blender. If you’re not sure what to choose, do both, the more experience the better.

- Yes they are. But with Blender, it’s a free software and has many tutorials, especially related with Roblox.
- Like my first answer to number one. Blender provides a greater since of poly count to combat performance issues due to brick count. You can do some slick tricks like creating a mountain/building with only the facing side modeled for better performance.

Blender is great for low poly builds (e.g trees). It’s also a great way to make small items/tools to hold (e.g cups, swords). I use it for mostly everything, including chairs.
I use ROBLOX studio for the basics such as walls, stairs, plants(due to the materials) and all the essentials to make a room, land or stuff along those lines.
Here are some answers to your questions:
- You should never use just blender, I recommend using both.
- Not really, Blender and Studio are perfectly fine and top developers use them.
- It’s easy to shape, texture and design and it’s way more advanced than Roblox Studio. Once you’ve got used to it, you’ll be using it for mostly anything.
Blender is also useful as you can import OBJ’s made by other users from websites outside ROBLOX. I downloaded a race track kit that was extremely good. There’s a lot of tutorials on YouTube on how to use blender. For ROBLOX UGC items and/or builds on blender, I recommend watching @ZebraRBLX on YouTube. He’s my friend and extremely underrated for the work he does.

Personally I use both. Blender is great for models and anything with a curved edge ( that’s mainly what I use it for) .
Sorry to bump this, but I wanted to. Although I personally don’t use blender much, I do admit I use it for making meshes once in a blue moon. Both studio and blender have there own pros and cons, so its solely your decision. I’m usually using studio all day, doing blender for more than 30 mins just kills me (believe me, I got a heart attack when I first saw its interface). The biggest reason I try to avoid blender as much as possible is because is the meshes’ hitboxes are weird whenever I import them into studio. Also I like to use studio because first it doesn’t give me heart attacks, and second is that its more easier for me to make things in studio, third is that it doesn’t take forever to import meshes into studio. Also if you make things in studio you are anyway gonna have more control over your parts then you will have on a blender mesh. If you know how to solve the hitbox problem, go for blender. But still its your opinion, choose what your more comfortable with.

Well, this is kind of hard to answer. In my opinion, if you wanna use Blender, you should only use it for modeling mesh parts. Now, I’m not saying you shouldn’t use it to model/build stuff, but I personally prefer using Blender for mesh parts. If you’re going to build stuff with parts (just parts), then I prefer you to use Roblox Studios.
