This is my first time having a custom chat system for my game, was curious on the rules for console. Last I’ve heard that console isn’t allowed to chat?
Of course I have the messages filtering and each platform gets there own unique UI for layout, just need to know if I am allowed to have chat visible to console. If so are they allowed to chat?
Typically, no. Console players are usually not allowed to chat in any way due to roblox wanting to keep their E rating on consoles. I would not risk it if I were you.
I do not know exactly, but if you mean emoji’s that react over a players head after clicking a button or something, maybe or maybe not. It really depends on the context. Like for some games with console allowed (story games for an example) the player automatically talks and does not get to choose what they say.
I would say emojis are fine as long as they’re pre-created by developer. What I mean is, you can have a scroll wheel of emojis and allow the user to select one. (Do not allow them to chat a custom one)
