Is It a Good Idea To Try To Trap Exploiters?

I am trying to find as many ways as I can to identify exploiters. One idea I thought of is to have a remote event named something like “GiveInfiniteMoney” or something like that which would trigger a report. Would any exploiter reasonably fall for this or is this just a waste of time?

I feel as if its a waste of time but isn’t at the same time.
Exploiters try and use many alt accounts to make a cheat for any game. (As the no lives they are)
No matter how much tries it takes, they somehow find a way to bypass stuff and find fake remotes, and they profit off of it.
You can pick a few off, but It will be a waste of time since they will find out.

Even if they would fall for it, they can just use an alt and learn from next time.

On release, I plan on making the game pay to play, so picking off as many as I can is something I want to do because it’s harder for them to make alts.

For what it’s worth, this is an actual strategy IRL, called honeypotting.
As @ABrainDilemma said though, there’s not much point doing it in Roblox because you won’t get as much out of it as you would elsewhere.
IRL, running a honeypot would be beneficial because it would serve as a distraction to buy time and also give you information about the hacker to give you an advantage either tactically or legally.

That’d be good, but lets use the game “Grand Piece Online” as an example, they were heavily pay to play. And they still got heavily exploited.
And the exploiters profited off the exploit.

I thought of doing this before and also giving them a badge that everyone can see telling people what they did to get it, A badge of shame.

But they can just delete the badge and use an alt, If it’s paid though it would probably get some people and be relitively effortless to add to the game.

Seems like a low risk high reward to me, worth doing.

In the end, as long as it still creates a workspace you can deal with, I say it’s worth it. It does only delay the inevitable though, so be at your own caution!
