Is it against TOS to make a Roblox Lottery group/game?

I was thinking of making a lottery group for roblox, where you can buy a “ticket” aka t-shirt on roblox, and itll be discord automated, and can tell when you buy a ticket and gives you a random number, and if you win you get how much the prize was, is this against TOS?

I think so, if its a devproduct then thats fine, but i dont think so with discord webhook automation.

Ah, okay I will wait for a moderator or someone high rank to reply so I avoid being banned.

I think that’s against tos but idk

I think it depends on what the prize is

The prize would be robux

You are not allowed to involve Robux or real currency in any Roblox gambling. You are allowed to do it with your own in-game currency, but you can’t use/give Robux.

Alright, thanks

The act of betting robux with the chance of not getting it back is considered gambling, and is exactly what’s happening here. I’m no expert on this subject, but I can make an educated guess that this would be a violation.

Giving away robux == sure way to get terminated.

Moderators don’t usually reply to threads like these, you have to look at the rules and take your own interpretation. Here’s a couple quotes from the Community Rules that might help:

As discussed in Roblox Terms of Use, you cannot (and you cannot allow others) sell, trade or give away Robux

Do not implement any gambling or casino style games that involve real money in any way. This includes Robux, as Robux can be purchased for real money.

If I’m remembering right, a member of DevRel said they aren’t even allowed to interpret rules for people. Too much liability involved with something like that. You kind of have to guess based on the rules, but they seem pretty clear in this case.

From my memory, I could be incorrect, it’s fine if you use dev products for something regarding gambling in game cash, or something like loot crates.

Although, robux giveaways are against the rules.
