Is it allowed to make gambling feature in roblox?

I was wondering if Im allowed to make just a simple gambling feature that DOES NOT require you robux to get the in-game money tho you may buy additional ones

Is it against Roblox ToS? Couldn’t find an exact answer…

I suggest not doing so. Try finding an alternative. Think about it morally, you won’t want to go there. The majority of users on Roblox are kids and their parents may be upset. Even without the use of Robux, I still wouldn’t advise doing so.

Kids will have access to a concept that could lead to an unhealthy addiction to gambling. Do you really want them to learn and experience gambling at the age of 7?

Loot crates are okay, but anything that’s obviously and explicitly gambling, like a slot machine, is not okay. Just avoid it.

Don’t roll the dice for DevEx in the future.

According to Roblox community rules,
Dangerous, unethical and illegal activities. Not only do we not allow these activities, we do not allow anyone discussing them or encouraging others to discuss (or take) such actions, including:

  • Hacking, phishing, flaming, exploits, cheating, spam, deceptive practices, scams;
  • Misleading, sexual or racy thumbnails or other images, videos or text;
  • Gambling with Robux or real money;
  • Terrorism, Nazism or Neo Nazism, organized criminal activity, gangs and gang violence;
  • Instructions for engaging in violent activities, including bomb- or weapon-making
  • Criminal activity;
  • Illegal drugs or prescription drugs without a prescription;
  • The use or sale of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco by minors; and
  • Blackmail or extortion.

It does not say that gambling is not allowed with in-game currency, but as @Macawmangrovve12 said,

But some games on roblox do use gambling in sense that cost robux, for example in adopt me when you pay for some of the pets with robux your not sure which one your getting, or in a lot of simulators with robux eggs.

I don’t think gambling is outlawed I think it’ just frowned upon. Especially if it’s paid for. Because you don’t know what chance you have at getting/not getting an item. It’s all based on an algorithm.

Since you are using a in game currency that cannot be bought with Robux I would say do it, but try to give the player a decent chance of getting something.

I would rather find an alternative to this, implementing a gambling aspect into your game could possibly start a gambling habit. If parents saw their kids doing something along the lines of gambling (Not loot boxes or crates) they would be pretty upset. Just give players decent chances of getting what they are “gambling” for.

find an alternative, gambling is technically illegal in the real world so it evidently wouldn’t be allowed on a platform based for kids.
