Is it bad that I have 6,940 textures in my game?

Hello, I’m currently working on a game with caves and junk and I have 6 textures on every part that needs to look like stone… and the caves are pretty big.

I have also been experiencing server memory issues… so could these several thousand textures play a part in the memory issue?

Unique textures?

If they are duplicates of the same texture there should be no issue.


just make new material with this texture


They’re pretty much all the same repeated stone texture.
