Hey there, I was just wondering if I should try make my own models for monsters for my game or if it would be better to use roblox body models like the character and to dress it up like a monster.
(Im not sure if im supposed to post this here or in another category so please let me know)

When it comes to performance in general, you will need to consider the detail/complexity of the model.
With models like the R6 player model, the character is made of 6-sided blocks, meaning that there are not as many faces/vertices to be rendered when compared to a custom 3d model that may have hundreds of faces/vertices. You can use any type of model you want, but you should consider that less complex models will take up less resources, which will decrease the overall lag. This is even more important to consider if you need to have hundreds of monsters in your game.
