Is it fair to ban players from your game even if they haven't joined your game yet?

Why is this even a discussion? No. A toxic player is not a good reason to permaban somebody, at least not at the start, because what if a toxic player was somebody who was picked on at school, and on the computer, he wants to the same in retaliation. My point is that we all can grow out of these stages, and a toxic player doesn’t have to be a toxic player forever.

Well, outside of roblox, they could be punished.

In that case, you would appeal the ban. Perhaps by support ticket, or by a soft ban interface with a notification letting them know they have been banned when they join. There are consequences to one’s actions. Just because the situation doesn’t take place in my game doesn’t mean you can treat anyone any kind of way.

At the very least they would be made aware that their behavior is not the way to go and perhaps other options can be considered.

I think a good idea could be making a “surveillance list” with players like these. If a player from the list joins the game, it can alert the moderators through, for example, a discord webhook so that they can keep an eye on them. This will ensure you don’t punish player who has changed but still keep an eye on toxic people.
