Hey All,
Am I able to give out free Roblox digital gift cards to players that play my game, as a thank you? There would be nothing to purchase. I would select a player from a list of all the players that have played my game in the last month. I would purchase the gift card(s) myself. I would give the gift card code to the winner in a Roblox text message. That simple. I just want to make sure I’m not setting myself to be banned. Thank in advance for you insights!
No This is against TOS if its in your game
I’m pretty sure people have gotten banned for giving away free robux/giftcards.
It’s also not good if you want to grow a loyal fanbase. People are just going to play your game for the freebies, instead of playing it because they genuinely enjoy it. It’s the same case with youtubers that do giveaways. Their fans are more interested in winning a prize.
** I’m sure your intentions are good and all, but I think a better way to approach thanking the players would be to gift them an in-game currency or a special mention.
Thanks for making it clear that no, I can’t give away digital Robux. I like the idea of in-game rewards instead.
I wish Roblox Would let us give away gift cards of any types but that is against TOS
