Is it Ok to Make A Shooting Map Inside an Abandoned School

My question is exactly the title :smiley: I am making some maps for my Call of Duty type game, and I was wondering if I am allowed to make an abandoned school map the players will be shooting and killing eachother in?

This would probably be fine - so long as there are no references to any students, teachers, or any of that stuff.

It would be wise to verify this with Roblox support prior to publishing it though; since I’m not Roblox staff I can’t say for certain, so you shouldn’t just take mine or anybody else’s word for this until you get official confirmation.

@zGabriel14 has a point though. I would stay away from any school references. It’s a bit sketch.

Yes I know, but in School Zombies or some game like that, the whole map is the inside of a school, and that game has millions of visits.

I know the game you’re talking about. I think you’ll be fine, that other game has you killing zombies, not people. I think that would push the game slightly closer to a warning. This is a grey area. I would try contacting Roblox to see if it’s allowed.

I just read the description for the game and it appears as though Roblox took the game down once before. If you go to the bottom, it says:
Recent Updates:

  • Reuploaded the game because ROBLOX nuked it for some reason.

I wouldnt do this just make a differnet map. Don’t risk it at all and it might promote school shooting to the young ones. Just dont do it.

I personally believe this is a very delicate thematic that I wouldn’t dive into, but if we consider that there’ll be no reference to actual school shootings and rather hold that academy as a prop for the game then of course!

Yet, like "@sou_p said it’d be worth checking in with Roblox support to avoid any issues.

Your overthinking it, it will be fine so long as there are not like ‘student’ and ‘teacher’ teams it is just a map at the end of the day.

Your not allowed to reference real world tragedies, yet still you can make games about war, just use your common sense.

:confused: I’m just trying not to get banned, but some users may still troll the server and pretend to shoot up the school and I might catch backlash for it

You are not responsible for your community’s doing. You won’t get banned for another player’s bad behavior.

There are many games where they are typically used for purposes which are against TOS, however roblox is responsible for the actions of players, if your players choose to abuse this and do inappropriate activities then its not of concern to you.

As I say your overthinking it, lots of shooter games use a school for a map.
