Wait- would making a game referring to a school shooting be an offense?
I’m just trying not to get banned, but some users may still troll the server and pretend to shoot up the school and I might catch backlash for it
Yes, clearly that would be against the Terms of Service
You are not responsible for your community’s doing. You won’t get banned for another player’s bad behavior.

There are many games where they are typically used for purposes which are against TOS, however roblox is responsible for the actions of players, if your players choose to abuse this and do inappropriate activities then its not of concern to you.
As I say your overthinking it, lots of shooter games use a school for a map.

Well, if you think about piggy, they have a wild pig with a baseball bat running round a school. This should be fine but as @sou_p said, you should verify it with Roblox Support.

Yes but a baseball bat and fully automatic weapons are completely different if you think about it… besides do I contact Developer Relations?

It’s not that, it’s just I already purchased the map and I don’t want to waste it
I mean like, it should be fine but you can if you’d like to. Either way, piggy has a school map where you kill people in it, so I think this should be fine. However, you should try and hire staff members and teach them when to ban people who abuse the feature that a school map is there.

I would suggest just implementing it. If there aren’t explicit references to you know what there shouldn’t be a problem. If you’re still unsure or unconfident then you need to contact Roblox support.

You don’t need to contact somebody on the DevForum; their work mostly revolves around the forum.
The link I shared is how you need to contact Roblox should you feel the need to; unless you have any staff friends you can quickly DM there aren’t any alternatives.

A good question to ask yourself is “should I do it” instead of “can I do it?” Assuming that it’s perfectly allowed on Roblox (it seems like a definite grey area that’s learning towards a hard no), you do need to understand the moral and ethical impacts of doing that. For some people, that could be deeply traumatic or remind them of the trauma. For others, it paints itself in a very negative image. For very obvious reasons, people don’t want to think about having a gun in a school, even if it’s abandoned, let alone killing people in a school building. Personally, I highly recommend that you stay away from creating that map and instead focus on something that’s more neutral in nature. If it hits way too close to home, then it’s too problematic.
