Is it possible to change group rank upon gamepass purchase?

Greetings,

I am wondering if it’s possible to actually set someones rank in group to VIP for example when they buy a VIP gamepass

I ask because i heard that using bots is no longer recommended or something

Hello! I dont know much about this but I found a topic that might help you

View the “Group API” section, there’s an endpoint allowing you to change a user’s role in the group.
You’ll need to fetch the role IDs with the roles endpoint first.

In the requests, you’ll need two headers:

Cookie : .ROBLOSECURITY=|WARNING ...
which is the authentication token of your account. You can extract it via your browser’s dev console.
I recommend NOT using your primary account. You should set up an alt with ranking permissions on your group.

x-csrf-token : XXXXXXX
which is some sort of request security measure. Idk how exactly it works, but you’ll first have to send a request without this header, resulting in http code 403 forbidden; The response headers then contain an x-csrf-token you should use in further requests.

PS you cannot do this with Roblox lua. For a cheap variant, I suggest https://ovh.com where you get a free web host when you buy a domain, and their domain prices are comparably low.
You could then set up a php script to do the ranking work for you.

A web API is an endpoint that Roblox uses to help the https://roblox.com website function. Developers can use this in-game to find all the badges that a user owns or in your case, auto rank them in a group. You can only send requests through a proxy since Roblox doesn’t allow people to send direct requests to the site using HttpService.
