Is it possible to exceed terrain editor limits?

As we know , terrain editor tools have limits. What ım trying to do is build a massive terrain based map (even bigger than you think). But there is a problem that makes everything slower. Im building the map with add terrain tool. Limit is 64 but this is way too small for map and I cant make it any bigger such as 65+ . Is there a way to delete or expand this limit?

I’d say the only best way to break that limit is converting parts into terrain. Not only in big areas it can be useful to make your own shapes but you can also use plugins as for example triangular terrain to create terrain with parts which then you can convert to Roblox terrain.

Other than that, you can customize how thick your parts will be in order to optimize your Roblox terrain (less voxels = smaller file size).

You can also use the terrain generation tool which (for big areas) will lag your PC and will take some time to generate. I recommend using it if you don’t wanna have any flat/triangular surfaces but make sure to customize your settings before you start generating.

Last thing I wanna mention Incase you end up using Roblox terrain generation is to keep in mind to optimize it afterwards. There will be a thick layer of terrain underneath that will be useless to you so you will have to remove it with the terrain converter by selecting the material you want to remove and converting it into air.

I know that massive terrain can cause a lot of lag and sad to see that there is no way to do this faster but thanks for help anyway.

Nah man it doesn’t lag, it only takes up a lot of space when it comes to data (file size). If you use StreamingEnabled you can make some really massive maps (I’ve done it before and even potato devices could run the game at 30fps).

Oh thanks this might be very good for me. Im using equipments from 11 years ago and as you expect , it destroys my computer.
