Is it possible to make a huge roblox game on a potato pc?

I actually have gotten away with sixty FPS, with global shadows on.

Yeah because most of the time depending on your PC, it should be fine. I have a Dell PC from 2012 and some of the things I upgraded are like ram and other things like a graphics card (GTX 1050 ti) and it still runs well with Roblox studio.

Well does it improve the laginess that you’ve might have been facing before.

And if so, what’s the ram and gpu?

You got some epic looking specs for yours. I’m impressed

My answer is no…
Maybe you can make a small game and then you can buy new pc with money that you earn from that game.

I have 8 gb ram and I can play on max graphics with 60 FPS

It all depends on what you would define as a “huge game”. There are options within the client settings to turn down the graphics. I have an awful PC and I’ve been able to create games with over 40 k parts with no issues. Roblox Studio isn’t demanding on performance and I’m certain that as long as you don’t load it with hundreds of unions it should be possible. Try tinker around with the settings and see how it turns out.

What does 8 gb ram has to do with framerate? Ram is a critical component, if you have low amount of it then your PC would either close Roblox as a way to free some space, or use disk space, and if you have HDD then it’s the only way Roblox could be slowed down. You would be better off either naming or saying if your CPU and GPU are good, as they are primary part in determining your framerate. Sorry for rant, but I just couldn’t resist urge of explaining it to you

Hmm, that seems a general idea.

I would really like to know more about turning down the graphics at the client settings

The Kingston HyperX is your RAM model.

Most possibly, you can. Although you are going to take a lot of time to make a simple build.

CPU: Intel Core i7 - 6500U
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 940MX
RAM: 16gb ram

I never get 60 FPS on any games now. :disappointed:
I’m not sure if this is considered potato.
I can run some non-Roblox modern games at 60+ FPS though.
Darn Roblox making me lag

These specs are quite good enough. How about for those who want to have smooth experience with no lag on low specs?

Like to know for that…

I find it funny because every person I know has god tier specs. ;-;

LOL YOU THINK THATS A POTATO?!?!?!?

this is my laptops specs;

celeron processor,
4gb ram,
28.5 GB HDD
once again, some random HP motherboard.

Your specs is as close as trash as mine

Everything is same except mine is a 4gb ram

a bit late to the party but as a temporary solution you can build parts to the game, send it to your other devs and have them insert it.

Yes, that is true.

That’s where you’re wrong. Intel Xeon processors were made for servers and data centers. Intel’s goal there was to get a low power consumption CPU so that, if the companies fill whole buildings with these, they will get lower electrical bills.

That might be true, but the Nvidia 750 is rather low-spec, last gen gear. But it will be an improvement over integrated CPU graphics,

I mean, Xeon is expensive and its performance is poor.
It’s stable, but a regular Core i processors is sufficient.

And don’t bump the topic a month ago

Roblox studio can run on the saddest of sad computers, 100-50$ school computers can even run roblox somewhat comfortably (this is in terms of relative, its pretty bad in terms of other computers but it runs so-)

So it should work out.
