Is it possible to make a R15 character out of a high detailed mesh?

I want to make a realistic r15 character with a full facial animation rig.
The problem is the whole mesh has over 64,000 triangles :grimacing: and decimating it to around 10,000 triangles makes it look messy! But would it be possible to separate the mesh into 15 parts with each part having a little less than 10,000 triangles and make the character out of that? Also, I’m not using this character to publish on the marketplace I’m only using this for a game.

64,000 Triangle Mesh (Original)

10,000 Triangle Mesh (Decimated)

it would be possible to seperate them into parts but that would most likely look horrible.
If you want to make a custom modeled character you have to commit to a totally custom rig and animations using the model’s bones (yeah, you have to rig it in blender too)

I’m asking if the marketplace triangle budget for each part of a custom character applies to studio too.

This is a guide on the documentation tab to publishing your own custom character to the marketplace but never says if this applies to studio too.

No, aslong as your mesh can be imported into studio then it will work
