One of the problems with producing Roblox animations on studio is that we use an external screen-capture device to record our animation, this is a workaround if the animator do not want to use the internal Roblox recorder.
However, because the animation isn’t rendered and just recorded it is subject to potential lag in studio or any effects of poor performance, not to mention that depending on the compression of the recording the detail of the animation can heavily suffer. With the current method, in-studio animators must suffer potential frame skips and the whims of the video compressions if they are recording on a less than powerful machine.
Alternatively, in most animation software I used they render each frame of the animation, so the quality of the image isn’t dependent on time. I would like to do something similar by “rendering” each image of the frame, the animation will pause until the previous screenshot is captured. This way no frames will be skipped, and hopefully the compression of an image would fare better than a screen recording.
If this could be possible, this would be great for people wanting to produce in-studio animations for artistic and marketing purposes.
