I mean what if the Images I used were copyrighted?

i.e Images uploaded by another dev who isn’t the actual owner of the Images.

Will I get into copyright issues if I use these Images?

No. The uploader would be punished for this, not you.

Just be careful if they are anything that might be copyrighted. If it is then it may be removed from your game if the person who uploaded the image gets it taken down.

The worst case scenario is if someone reports it as a copyright infringement in your game then your game might be under DMCA violation. It doesn’t matter where you got it from, you used it.

Now I don’t know who to believe.

Will I get a termination for this? Or will it just be removed from my game?

I’m not the uploader of the Image, someone else is.

Roblox would be the ones taking action, not copyright holders, and I don’t think they’re incompetent enough to take down games for using images which the people using them most likely didn’t know were protected by copyright.

Plus, I’ve never seen a single case of a game being removed for this reason.

You’ll get punished if it gets reported in your game.
Let’s say you use the Coca Cola trademarked image that was uploaded by someone else.
If it’s in your game you are the one responsible for putting it there.

I put the name ‘Formula One’ in the title of my game. No other references, logos, images of any of their products. Just the name.
It doesn’t matter that there are thousands of other Roblox games and models in the toolbox that have that name. I still was the one who’s game got shut down and removed.

@1O10010I10011, there’s a saying, “ignorance of the law is no excuse”. It means even if you didn’t know it’s against the law, it’s still against the law.
