Is it worth adding console support to a rhythm game?

so I am going to be making a rhythm game because it sounds fun, but I’m unsure if I should add console support or not

I am deciding to add mobile and desktop support, but not sure if console players would enjoy the game if I optimized it to work for those systems

this might seem too vague, but I don’t know how the game will look as of right now

thanks if you helped

yea it would get more players, but I just need to make it enjoyable on the platform first

thinking about making a devlog so I can get advice as I go on with the development

Alot of kids might enjoy a puzzle game, and alot of kids are on xbox.

this is a rhythm game not a puzzle game

my bad. thats what i met got confused

Yes, I think it would be worth it, since console players still make up a reasonable portion of Roblox players. Unless it would be really hard to add console support for your game, I don’t see any reason not to. Controllers have plenty of buttons available to use, which are similar to keyboard keys, so I don’t think it would be too hard to add. In addition, some users have keyboards which will make things much easier. I believe the pros outweigh the cons in this situation, but the decision is ultimately up to you.

yea I am going to add it, before anything else I gotta have desktop working

thanks for the advice
