Is it worth it to put xbox controls in my game?

I noticed playing other games, that most games here don’t have xbox support. So is it even worth adding it for my game? How much people play console?

And by xbox support I mean gamepad/controller support.

Furthermore, I was testing by playing adopt me (one of the few games that had xbox support) and they have a highlight system, whereas if you’ve selected one GUI you can press the gamepad down to select the one below it. How do they do this?

Absolutely worth it, for several reasons! One really awesome reason to incorporate it, is because the xbox controls themselves are cross platform, you can bluetooth an xbox one s controller to mobile, and Roblox’s excellent API can handle that easily. Contextually, you want the controller support to be intuitive enough that no one thinks twice about a keybind. The level of fine control you get with analog sticks and triggers is hard to pass up, and definitely allows for inputs you’d not be able to obtain otherwise. You want pretty much any input configuration, even multiples at once, we’re able to do that!

It is definitely worth it to put Xbox support in your games, it is very easy on a scripting level and from what you say in the post here

I have not played on Xbox in a little while, but I am almost 100 percent sure this is a built-in feature.

Its easy but a bit time consuming.

From what I know in testing other games and mine (though, in studio) it is not a built in feature. At least in adopt me it seemed too integrated within the game that it does not seem to be built it. They had different sections, the tasks section, the in-game inventory, and the main menu that you could highlight by pressing a button on the controller, then the selection system happens (only on that specific group) that I mentioned before.

But id love to be wrong because that was sick

What I remember from playing Roblox on my Xbox was if you pressed the button to the left of the pause button (not the home button, that’s above.) then you could use the left thumbstick or you could use something I forgot the name of but it’s at the bottom left and when you used either of those then it would highlight the button a little bit.
