I just finished my game recently Adventure Planet - Roblox It is a 2d virtual world game with housing, shopping and minigames. It has an average play time or around 40mins for pc and 10 for phone, Major difference. Is the welcome gui and tutorial too hard for players to understand?
The guis and tutorial is easy to understand. The game is really cool I looked at the game photos and thought it’s going to be another Gacha Life like game but after looking around the map and interacting with minigames etc but I felt it was more similar to Club Penguin which is probably why I enjoyed it so much.
It may be because the GUIs are too big.
UI-only type games don’t last long and don’t have any succes whatsoever.
The UI you have in game (for ex. the buttons) are too big for my eyes honestly. Another thing I’ve seen is that your character is under clickable-stuff (like the court), and it’s really annoying. You have to do a lot of checks to make it non-collidable. Another thing I’ve seen the mouse is really laggy (especially in games), feels like I’m playing on 15-30fps, hurts my eyes.
Overall, goodluck
The UI definitely needs improvement. As @WhitexHat mentioned, we haven’t seen any UI games successful on Roblox. Still, good luck
Edit: Try to add animations to the character, and make it a little more realistic as well
Its not bad, Scaling’s a bit weird for a pc user, But I think anyone could figure it out eventually.
My other feedback would probably be to add slightly better hitboxes, Make the popup appear when the character touches’ the sides of the screen, ect. So far this project seems cool.
