Is my game idea breaking the Roblox Tos

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if my game idea breaks the Roblox Tos.

This is a game called “Spin For Robux” and it is where you spin a wheel and see if you could win robux. If they win robux, I pay them by a game pass as I know group payouts in not allowed for non-developers.

Additionally, I want to know if I can do Youtube livestreams for my game. This livestream will be a give away. In this livestream they could win in-game currency and if I feel like it they could win robux.

Just give me a list of what is not breaking Roblox Tos and what is.

Thank you!

Would it be allowed for people to use robux and buy spins so that they have a good chance to win robux?

People talked about a similar situation over in this post, however I don’t think it’s the best idea unless you are able to get a clear answer from Roblox. I’d just avoid it entirely or you can make stuff which exchanges items of no value.

The problem is you are saying that you will reward robux if you win, and that is what is against community standards. You aren’t allowed to exchange currency of value like that with a game of odds.

As is includes obbies to win spins, could I just make gamepasses like magic carpet and gravity coil?

The obby part is fine, but again it’s what you are exchanging that is the problem. The issue is that you giving robux is an exchange of a currency, with value, over a game of odds.

So should I make the odds a bit high?

I think you are misunderstanding my response a little bit. What I’m saying is you can’t incorporate a spin game if the thing you are exchanging is something like real money or robux. Meaning your whole idea would go against community standards and isn’t allowed.

I am so puzzled because this game: Spin For Free RBX! 🤑 - Roblox is breaking the community standards and they say its not against the Roblox Tos.

There are tons of games that ‘claim to give you robux’ and it’s been a problem on the platform for years. Just cause there are still games out there breaking tos, doesn’t mean you can follow.

I also briefly looked at the game and I didn’t see anything for actually winning robux besides the advertisement, but again you shouldn’t be exchanging that kind of currency in a game of odds.

Thanks for making it clear and saving my account from being banned.

Here is a full clarification,

You can spin the wheel for Robux if the wheel is free to spin completely meaning the player will not lose anything including in-game currency for spinning it. Then you are allowed to reward the player with Robux depending on what they won.

You cannot let players pay Robux to spin the wheel.

You can make it so you need to reach the wheel in order to spin it for example an obby.

You can make it easier to reach the wheel with a gamepass such as a magic carpet.

Like @CapnFry just because other games do it doesn’t mean they do not break the Roblox community standards. You will be at risk of being banned if you do so.

Thanks very much as I like giving robux away but I also want to make robux from that. Thanks a lot.
