Is "realistic" gravity actually realistic?

I noticed when I clicked on the “realistic” preset in the game settings, the objects were falling as if it were on the moon. Is this actually realistic, or is there a way to get actually realistic gravity?

I also asked this myself.

I’m not familiar with the preset, but normal Roblox gravity is about 10 times real life gravity if you assume 1 stud is loosely equal to 1 foot. Also the characters are constantly running at a brisk 11 mph. For context, a fast speedwalk is about 3-4 mph.

Scaling in video games is weird and always will be. Doors and ceilings are too tall, gravity is too strong but the characters have dozens of times the jumping force to overcompensate for it. Video game characters move fast and react almost instantly to any change of direction. All of this is even worse in third person games.

Don’t go for realistic scaling, just make what feels right.
