Is Slavery allowed on ROBLOX?

Sorry — had to get that eye catching title for anyone to click on the post.

I don’t mean chattel slavery (American Slavery); I’m aiming for serfdom more like it, but instead of being tied to land, players are tied to another player. Here’s what I’m aiming for:

Players can be bought by the nobility and be forced to farm a certain amount every day. If they don’t do that, they are able to be arrested/killed.

I wasn’t sure if the Roblox tos allowed slavery in this context, because it’s kind of like serfdom but not at all like it.

Well that is kind of slavery, so it probably wouldn’t be allowed.

This is just too far… I would say it’s definitely not allowed. I don’t know how you could think otherwise.

Short answer: probably not, Roblox is going to assume wrong intentions and judge you based on your actions.

Personal opinion however?
It REALLY depends.
Slavery in general, is a terrible thing and I wish to get it removed from real life because no one should have to live a life like that.

However in fictional, for world building and lore, I think Roblox in general should loose up a bit more under specific contexts.

If you’re someone who likes making up fictional stories with a fictional alien species and whatnot, there are some topics you simply cannot even mention here on Roblox without facing judgement and consequences and I think that’s just ridiculous.

I mean, in things like Warhammer lore (which is ofc also entirely fictional and made-up), basically almost every character is racist and they have their own reasons for it.
And it makes the world building feel more realistic and convincing because let’s be honest, no person is perfect and every human has flaws and judges other humans unfairly in some way or capacity.

I think it only makes fictional world building and lore more realistic and convincing if characters have the same flaws and imperfections as humans have.

I hope that gets my point across the right way, kindly do not flame me for my opinions.

thats nowhere near serfdom :sob:
serfdom is the lowest class of whatever the time period was because they owed the government or some rich people money, and were forced to work off their debt. They also could eventually get out of serfdom although it was really really unlikely there was like 0 class mobility. This has its own discriminatory problems as it promotes social darwinism and the idea that it’s okay for the upper class to take advantage of the lower class because it will help “further the race” and evolution and all that goodness

Being bought and owned by a person is slavery. no mater the context. the way you explained it sounds exactly like American slavery. you CANNOT under ANY circumstance OWN a human person. That’s a human rights violation and is definitely not going to be allowed on roblox. i don’t think i need to explain why slavery is wrong. if i do we have bigger problems that need to be addressed here.

now if you wanna try and bypass it, don’t call them slaves, make a loophole to where it’s like your hiring “workers” to “help” you farm. now THAT would be allowed

Ahahahahahah who cares bro

Be based, there are way worse things that roblox WON’T moderate
