I have an Outfit or Avatar Shop type of “game” that I am looking to expand, but I am unsure what the right path is! Currently, I have made around 60k robux from the game and was hoping to put those earnings into making EVEN MORE robux!
The problem is, I feel like with sponsoring, you are trying to build up momentum with players piggybacking off each other even after the sponsor runs out, which then leads to a decent playerbase. But with my game, the retention time will naturally be low as the game is only there for people to purchase things! I could be completely wrong, but that is my thought process.
Basically, I was just wondering if anyone could provide some insight on whether or not it is even worth it to purchase sponsors or advertisements for this genre of game!

sponsoring/advertising through roblox, is like going into the casino & gambling.
you have a chance to succeed, and you have a chance to lose everything. It’s all decided by the casino or in this case, roblox / the biased algorithm so it’s a huge gamble.
ty for the response! You are probably right though, advertising seems like it is pretty much just gambling with the algorithm :c I’ll probably think about it some more before I go full send, if I do.
Social media is a good method if you don’t want to use robux. Maybe even more effective than roblox ads. I don’t know though I’ve never put it to practice, I’ve only ever heard.
Social media works pretty well! I was doing it for some time and it was working wayy better than my test sponsor (45 Ad Credits). If a game is easily transferrable to social media it’s more effective than sponsors (Just in case anyone wanted to know that).
