If you read a little of this post, you’ll find it’s pretty easy to launch the Roblox Player without using the website (view my last post to see it done even easier with an app launcher that finds the executable for you).
With this in mind, what’s the purpose of that annoying “Loading…” tab that keeps making other programs lose focus every few seconds?
Yes, the Roblox Player needs to update, but it takes several minutes sometimes for the popup to figure out that there are no updates. Perhaps that can’t be fixed, but it continues to mess with my programs’ focus while doing so.
The Player does that on its own. This just sticks around until the Player appears.
Overall the popup feels pretty glitchy and unnecessary. It forces other programs to lose focus, and if I click cancel, the Player loads anyway (meaning the Player was already told to launch, and the popup doesn’t really make that clear).
This functionality should just be in the Player itself. Let it check for it’s own updates, and have it open even while still connecting to the server, with the text “Connecting…” displayed.
If this just didn’t mess with the focus of my windows, I wouldn’t really care too much, though I would still prefer that the Player handled this stuff itself.
