Is there a way to apply camera recoil on server-side?

I’m about to make camera recoil so the guns do not just feel like lasers

obviously there is also spread but that’s besides the point

i know that handling camera recoil on the client will lead to exploiters being hilariously funny and bypassing it entirely, so i’m here to ask if there’s a way to handle something like that on the server

If it’s just a visual recoil effect there’s not really much of a reason to try to prevent that. Exploiters will probably be targeting different things like aimbot or movement. Not really worth your time tbh

If the camera was set in a way where it followed the head at all times, then you could just like shake the head or rotate it, or whatever on the server to make it look like theres recoil

well no the camera infact does not follow the head

Well you could make it do that, which could allow you to have the effect.

But even then, exploiters can just disable whatever sets the camera to the head.

The answer is really no, you can’t guarantee camera recoil. So you would have to create spread or something else that doesn’t really on the camera.

Oh yeah I didnt see the part of them not wanting exploiters to break it. Well bad news yeah as said you cant do anything about it. Anything visual can and will be exploited, such as recoil and there really isnt anything you can do about it, so just dont worry about it honestly.

i mean i did come up with a workaround known as SPREAD (which is handled server-side yay)

but spread is meant to get cancelled out whenever you ADS (aim down sights), so it kind of sucks

yeah that sorta thing is annoying but life is life, anyhow best a luck

Shouldnt you set the question that asnwered the question as the solution, which should be the first message considering it answered the question
