I’ve been making a melee system for the past 2 days and I think I’m done. I would like to know if theres anything I can add/change to make it look better. If you suggest camera movement, please explain how it should look, don’t suggest sounds.
You might want to move this to script review?
Honesty everything looks perfectly fine to me. That’s just my opinion though.
Is the amount of camera movement necessary? I personally don’t like moving my camera around so much when trying to focus on a target.
I’m guessing the movement allows you to target a specific part of your target or you’re just showcasing how the hitbox can be moved.
But otherwise I prefer to not have to move my mouse around in the way shown.
That’s right, it’s beneficial because head hits got more damage and have a chance of ragdolling the player.
This is a very small detail, but some sort of subtle camera shake when stomping on the player might make it look a tiny bit better.
camera shake when you hit the dummy, effects like dust when hitting the dummy. slight boost in speed when punch hits (like 1 extra speed) and slightly slower when punch ends. dummy having animation for getting hit. can you attack while being hit? if so then make you get stunned when hit. adding blocking and a heavy move.
better sounds lol
This is nice, but one tiny caveat I noticed is that you’re using the animations from Criminality. If you can, you should make your own.
Not sure if those are from criminality, I found them in toolbox as temporary placeholders.
It’s too slow. Make it faster and more satisfying
