Is there a way to prevent light overlapping and combining brightness?

I’m currently trying to use surface light in order to light up darker areas, however when adding surface lights to the floor, the brightness of the 2 surface lights combine when I use future lighting. Is there a way to prevent this from happening without switching back to shadowmap?

As you can see, the 2 surface lights causes a smaller brighter section in the middle.

try to use addons like Light editor to see where the light is going to. also, PointLight is more suitable on lighinting stuff up since there will be no corners.
